The blacksmith shook his head, amused. "No one's ever asked me to enhance a building before. It's always weapons, armour, sometimes enchanted vehicles."
"Well, I'm asking." She wanted her building to light up the night sky, she wanted magic that could imitate holographs... Magic that would leave everyone in awe.
He tilted his head. "What exactly do you want?"
Selena's eyes gleamed. "Everything... And I mean everything." She was being vague on purpose, only if he was on board would she reveal the details.
The blacksmith rubbed his chin, thinking. "That's a big project."
"I can pay and offer you security," she assured him.
His eyes flickered with interest. "And if I refuse?"
Selena smiled. "Then I'll find someone else. I only came to you because you already have the knowledge, you're not the only person who knows about magical engineering." She combined her knowledge of engineering with Rylus' magic... Some of the skills from her past life are proving to be useful after all.
