"Chang Mingxia. Tell me what is your relationship with him?!" Mrs Chang asked to her daughter.
"That.... Mom..... We....." She looked at Jie Zihan in a sorry face.

Hearing the slap, Chang Mingxia's grandmother came out of the door. "What is happening here?" She looked at the three of them and said. "Come inside the house. We would talk there."
All of the three walked to the house quietly.
The elders sat in the sofa.

"Yes. I love her a lot." Jie Zihan turned and smiled at Chang Mingxia.
She grabbed his hands tightly.
"Chang Mingxia. Many years before I have you a task. Do you remember it?!" Mrs Chang asked.
"Yes. Mom." She nodded. Make De Longjun fall for me.
"Instead of doing that, you fell in love with another boy?!" She scoffed and then looked at Jie Zihan. "Do you know why she joined in city A high?!"
"I know everything Mrs Chang. And she got close to me because she wanted to do the task you said. But..... We fell in love...."
"So you know everything.... Ugh!! Good!! Even so I won't give my daughter to you. Get out of my house!!"
"Mom. Stop it!! You can't do that to him!!" Chang Mingxia raised her voice.

Jie Zihan looked at Chang Mingxia. "You are right Mrs. Chang. If she choose me now, she could lose her comfortable life."

Mrs Chang and Grandma Chang looked at Jie Zihan interested.
"But it doesn't mean that I am going to leave you. Mingming. I already run a successful buisness now. I started the buisness my own. For us being together, I need to work more hard. I don't want you to be unhappy with me.... So... Would you please wait for me?!"
"WHAT?!" Chang Mingxia looked at him in disbelief.
"Yes. Chang Mingxia. I want to continue my relationship with you. For that... I need to work more hard. I dont want you to live with me like that..."

Jie Zihan then turned at the elders and bowed. "I love your granddaughter..... Your daughter Chang Mingxia.... She is a wonderful and sweet person. I want to be a better man for her. So could you wait for me for just one more year?!"
No one answered.
"I hope you could consider my suggestion. Please.... And thank you for hearing me until now....." Jie Zihan bowed again and turned to the main door.

"Ugh!! Young couples these days!!" Mrs Chang groaned. "Young man. We can't allow our daughter to wait for one man!!"

"If you are serious about her, select a day and come home with your parents!! She can't live as an unmarried maiden. She is not getting any younger. Atleast she needs to be engaged! !"
"Moooommm!!" Chang Mingxia looked at her mother and exclamed happily. "What did you say?! Come home with his parents? Are you agreeing our relationship?!"
"Jie Zihan. Come inside and sit down." Mrs Chang instructed.
"Thank you Mrs Chang." Jie Zihan smiled politely and sat down in the sofa. He still couldn't hide his delighted face.
"Mom!! Thank you!!" Chang Mingxia ran and hugged her mother.
"Is there no hug for me?!" Grandma Chang asked.
"For you too!! Thank you granny!!"
"Bring an ice pack. And some tea and snacks." Grandma instructed a servant. She nodded and left.
"Mingming. Come and sit with your mom." Mrs Chang tapped the space beside her.
Chang Mingxia sat obediently.
"What did you think Mingming? We are your parents. We love you a lot. We are not some monsters. We always wanted the best for you....." Then she looked at Jie Zihan. "We already know about you. Her father already did a background check about you. Young man..... You have a lot of potential..."
"Thank you Mrs Chang." Jie Zihan, who found his rhythm answered.
"Ma'am." The servant came and laid down refreshments and have the icepack to Jie Zihan.
He thanked her and pressed it in his cheek.
"Then why did you try to slap me?!" Chang Mingxia asked.
"When I first found you fell into a relationship, I wanted to say a lot more than this during that time. But I found out he is a gentleman. But I still needed to do that. I wanted to know what will he do. And..... He stood up for you.….."
"Did everyone knows about it?!"
"Yes. All of us."
"Mrs. Chang. Elder Chang. Please." Jie Zihan had poured some tea into te cups and gave it to them.
"Mm. Thank you." Both of them bought it.

De Longjun came back from work and rang the doorbell.
"Welcome you master. Miss Zan is waiting for you in the room." Mrs Huo smiled.
De Longjun took a deep breath and stormed into his room.
Like the housekeeper said, Zan Guiying was in the room.
