Yesterday, the day ended with Samuel and Xenovia training… and in the night… another kind of "training" in bed.
Today, Saturday, Samuel was going on a date with his girl.
It's been a long while since he went on a date.
'I'm a handsome motherfucker.' Samuel thought narcissistically while watching himself in the mirror.
His outfit was jean pants and a jean jacket without sleeves.
He was wearing his own version of Future Trunks' drip.
It worked because he got the physique and long hair too.
As he went down the stairs, already feeling Xenovia sitting in the living room:
"Yo, ready?" he asked.
Xenovia was wearing girl jeans and a blue blouse that hugged her form very well.
Her eyes widened when she saw Samuel — bro was him.
"Y-yes." She stammered.
"Down girl." Samuel said playfully.
In response Xenovia just pouted.
"You look good too," he added.
Xenovia only nodded a bit shyly.
"Let's walk to the cinema, we choose there," Samuel said, opening the door and walking out.
He offered his arm to her like a gentleman of old; he was never the "hand-holding" type.
She smiled and accepted, interlocking her arm with his.
They walked together to the cinema.
"Tomorrow I will go to one of the Grigori bases," he said as he looked around the city.
"Why?" the blue-haired girl asked.
"I agreed to have a friendly spar with Vali," Samuel said casually.
"The White Dragon Emperor?"
"Indeed. I will come back to train together like usual."
Xenovia was getting stronger too. Samuel was not soft with his girlfriend in training.
"Don't crush him too hard," she said with a complex smile.
"Haha, I won't." He totally would.
"So how are things going with Irina and Asia?"
"We chat sometimes. Irina is busy with the Church while Asia is doing peerage stuff," she said, looking up, remembering the stuff.
"Good thing you apologized," Samuel said with mirth.
"Hey." Xenovia retorted while biting his arm.
"Don't bite me, you blue gremlin."
'It was a bit fucked up what she said to Asia but my brainrot from my past life is simply too strong…' Samuel said internally, holding down the laughter.
He imagined in his head Xenovia telling Asia:
"If you still believe in God being a devil YOU SHOULD KILL YOURSELF NOW."
And then some lightning coming around her out of nowhere.
'Peak rare moment of low-tier Xenovia frfr.'
"Hahaha." Samuel just laughed carefree.
"What's so funny?" Xenovia tilted her head.
"Nothing… here we are." They stood in front of the cinema entrance.
There were three new movies on premiere.
"Drag So-ball: The World's Strongest."
Samuel knew this was a copy of Dragon Ball from his homeworld. He tried to watch it but it was ass. Already watched the original Dragon Ball, Z and all the movies… why bother with this one?
The movie was just a rip-off of the original.
The next one was an animated child movie named "Hamster Boy Commit Tax Evasion."
Samuel was a bit interested, and if he were the average Joe working 9 to 5, he would watch the movie. Maybe he would learn a thing or two, who knows.
Besides, he was already doing tax evasion.
The last one was a romcom with real actors named "Desire."
'Blewg.' Samuel thought.
"Maybe we should try something new to broaden our horizons watching this corny ass movie," Samuel said seriously, though obviously joking.
"Sure, let's not judge a book by its cover," Xenovia followed with a smirk.
"…"
"Hell no." Both Samuel and Xenovia said at the same time.
In the end they enter to watch the Drag So-ball movie.
Both were action movie enjoyers after all. Both swordheads.

"The movie was okay. Passable animation." Samuel comment to Xenovia while going out the cinema.
As expected the original was better, he remember the animation clearly, peak animation indeed.
"Want something to eat?" He ask pointing out some ice cream stand.
"Sure." Xenovia nods.
They decide, and now they are going to the stand.
"Hi, one of Neapolitan." Samuel asked for a multiflavored ice cream.
"Blue moon and mint chocolate chip." Xenovia said.
'Weirdo… mint taste like toothpaste.' He joke in his mind.
After paying for the cones, they decide to walk a bit in the nearby park.
"Lets sit here." Samuel said sitting in a bench.
A normal one for a change.
They enjoy the silence between them, eating ice cream.
Samuel look at Xenovia. The time has come.
'I need to tell her, I told her other things like the general idea of how I'm going to deal with Khaos Brigade.'
'But after that…'
Samuel knows he need to give an explanation to her before he… transcend.
Apotheosis can vary greatly.
It depends enormously on the nature of the user, his actions, his powers, his affinity with the divinity in question.
Samuel knows many things can be experienced in an apotheosis, many sensations.
Even more strange for the people who see it.
It's not a stretch to say if he ascends… his apotheosis will shake the world.
After all, it will give birth to a god of a higher level than the Great Red or Ophis.
With a divinity over a powerful concept and all that entails.

"Xenovia." He said with a serious tone.
Xenovia pause mid bite to look at him.
"I need to tell you something." Samuel said with a serious tone.
It was strange to see him like that, even when he talks about killing villains, you can see him acting like the shameless bastard he is.
Xenovia blushed getting the wrong idea.
'H-he gonna- but now!?' Xenovia thought in her mind getting totally the wrong idea.
Samuel pick up fast what was happening seeing her blush.
'Ah yes. Saying "that"… that… needs more time.' Samuel said in his mind. Already going to cut the misconception.
"I will become a god." Samuel stated with cold certainty.
An absolute silence fell between the two.
The birds could be heard singing, it was a nice day.
"…" Xenovia was looking at Samuel like he grow another head, her ice cream dripping on the floor from the heat of the summer.
"W-what." Xenovia eloquently said.
"As you hear Xenovia. When you become… very strong comes to a point you got a chance to ascend and become a god." Samuel summarized the situation A LOT, but it's true.
"…" Xenovia didn't know what to say.
"A-are you serious right now?" She asked.
"Yes. I wanted to tell you because the time is coming, when I ascend I'm not really sure what's going to happen, I'm telling you this because I don't want you to get scared." Samuel said looking to the sky.
"Why you want to become a god?" Xenovia asked quietly.
Samuel took a few seconds to give a satisfactory answer for both of them.
"Our pantheon is incomplete and falling to pieces; a pantheon needs a god."
"Even now, with peace declared… I believe this is the key moment to do it."
Michael can't properly manage the systems left by God, Heaven is slowly dying.
He knows they'll be able to reincarnate angels by recruiting humans but... that's not enough.
They are temporary fixes, not a permanent solution.
If Heaven is bleeding then the Grigori is bleeding too.
The devils are fucked too but for a different reason.
The original Lucifer is dead.
If the original Lucifer had survived, he could have handled all of Hell and Devil kind quite well with iron fist and being a tyrant of evil.
But thank God he's not, no pun intended.
Now the devils are worse than ever, a civil war between two factions, low birth rates due to that rare hit-or-miss sterility they have.
And what happens when all three factions are falling apart?
Normal humans get fucked.
And that's where the sacred gears come into play.
The three factions are frantically trying to get hold of the bearers for various reasons.
Need, power, greed, and worse.
A new sacred gear user doesn't stand a chance.
Not only do the people of the pantheon in question suffer, people from other pantheons suffer as well because of that.
The nekomata incident and others.
The inferior mindset and his evil.
This is what happens when a pantheon has only one god.
Unlike pantheons with multiple gods, even if one dies, another can take their place as head of the pantheon.
This is one of the reasons why Indra is waging a cold war against Shiva.
But everything will be alright.
When he ascend… everything will be sorted out whether they like it or not.
He will fill the void by becoming a new god.
That was the path he chose and the path he is building.
Maybe Lancaster should make The Bible 2.
After all it will be a new chapter for the Abrahamic pantheon.
"What will happen to us?" Xenovia asked.
"Are you still going to stay by my side Xenovia?"
"Always." Xenovia stated.
'Ah. I give up. Dumb woman are the best. Period.' Samuel said in his mind with a smile.
That make him a bit happy.
They spent there talking about everything that was going to happen in the next month. They talked about the why and what it means.
Of course, the only thing Samuel didn't tell her was about the gacha and the nature of his items.
He will tell her someday, years later when their relationship grows older.
Samuel was gatekeeping his precious gacha after all. It was his Precious!.
Maybe he should become a believer of RNGESUS.
"Good thing we talked Xen." He offer a hand to her as she stand.
"Yes." She nodded.
Both started to walk, going home already.
"Look Sam it's that cabin thing…" Xenovia said unsure.
"Photo booth cabin." He said looking around, the cabin was outside a store that sold anime-related things.
Well, several stores there sold similar things, he even saw a Mil-tan suit.
"Lets try it." She said grabbing his arm, dragging him inside.
They sit down there doing the classical stuff people do there.
After the three flashes they got out.
Samuel grabbed and looked the strip with the three images.
First one was him with his arm around Xenovia while she doing a peace sign, both smiling.
Second one was both of them doing faces.
Third one Xenovia giving him a peck in the cheek while he look up.
"Yours." He give Xenovia the strip with the images.
"Thanks." She nodded regaining her usual deadpan expression.
"Lets go." Samuel said as she interlock his arm with him again.
'It was a good date.' He thought while walking home.

Sunday came.
Lancaster was looking himself in the mirror looking at his outfit he gonna use to kick Vali ass.
The bum outfit.
White pants and a tight black tracksuit.
Garou outfit.
Well many characters have this outfit. Garou, Toji, Gojo and Killua.

Garou and Toji are bums.
Gojo and Killua are rich so they don't have to work even if Gojo has a job he still a bum.
Samuel Lancaster doesn't have a job so he can use this outfit proudly calling himself a bum.
He can join the overpowered bum gang!
He was using the Garou version without the yellow belt.
A ring in his phone caught Lancaster attention.
AzazelG: Kid, we are waiting for you. Send you the coordinates and pics of the place already.
'Five minutes earlier huh.' Samuel said in his mind amused.
Samuel know that Azazel wanted to know more about him.
He wasn't surprised at all to know that he would be there watching the spar.
SamuelL: Going already old man, dont be a bum.
Samuel joked a bit as he send the message. Indeed Azazel was a bum too.
Its a way of life at this point.
'Okay kick Vali ass and later I play the gacha.' He said ready to teleport.
"Xen. Im going to the Grigori for a bit." He said to Xenovia who was peacefully half-asleep in his bed.
"Mmmhh." Xenovia just make a sleepy sound confirming.
'Another bum.' Samuel chuckled.
He start concentrating, teleporting just outside the Grigori base.
"Finally you are here Kiddo!" Azazel shouted going to him passing the two fallen angel guards in the entrance.
"Sup. Lets go i bet Vali he's just as impatient as you are." He signal to Azazel to escort him.
They both got inside the building.
The building was old and gothic style. Fallens here and there. Talking and doing various tasks.
Some of them spared a glance to Samuel.
Most of them were bowing to Azazel as he walked escorting Samuel.
"Good work everyone, keep going while i show our friend here the place." Azazel said with his usual carefree smile to his subordinates.
The place was big.
"I must say Lancaster, i didnt expect you to accept Vali proposition." Azazel said.
"When he asked i didnt see the battle junkie looking for another shot of adrenaline. That was a big factor and besides this will end fast." Samuel stated lightly.
Azazel's interest was piqued.
"Its that so?" The fallen said.
"Yeah and relax i will beat him badly but he will not die." The golden lion said with a predatory grin.
Azazel just sighed.
In this regard, he didn't distrust Samuel, after all, Lancaster went out of his way not to kill Vali during the peace meeting.
"Here we are." Azazel open the door of the training ground loudly getting attention of those present.
There was Vali wearing a white shirt and black sports pants, warming up before the spar.
His sister Lavinia there. Concerned and to provide emotional support.
Bikou there was standing close to Vali too.
'Bro. I feel like all his friend and family are saying goodbye because he's going to die, I will not kill him, this is just a spar geez…' Samuel joked in his mind.
"Yo, Lancaster." Bikou was the first of the three to talk.
"Bikou." Samuel nod while giving each other a firm handshake.
They were on good terms, they spoke a little after the peace meeting.
Bikou was about to say more but he was interrupted by Lavinia.
"Lancaster i will ask you to go easy on Va-kun." She said in his serious sister tone.
"LAVINIA!" Vali raised his voice, he was a bit embarrassed.
Samuel made a monumental effort not to laugh but he catch on quickly what was happening.
Lavinia probably hear about Lancaster reputation… then Vali challenging him to a spar.
No wonder she is here all worried.
"No." Samuel said.
"Relax, he will not die, neither will he be seriously injured either. This is a spar after all... and besides, Vali won't take it well if I hold back, right?" He said, looking at Vali.
"Damn right," the albino said.
"See? Relax girl," Samuel said.
Samuel was almost immune to women.
"Dumb boys always fighting, hmmph!" She harrumphed, letting it go.
"Mah~ let the boys have their fun, Lavinia. Even if something happens, we got good healers."
"You are part of the problem too!" Lavinia said to Azazel.
Azazel looked away with his usual shameless smile, saying nothing because it's true.
Lavinia just sighed in defeat.
"I have things to do later, so Vali, let's go on, okay?" I signaled the wide area of the training grounds.
Vali nodded as they walked together, the others following close.
"You guys are going to this gathering this Monday, right?" Samuel started doing small talk.
"Unfortunately," Vali said, a frown making Bikou laugh.
"Meh, you can see the other strong people of our age there. That's one of the reasons I'm going," Samuel said.
"Hoh."
"Guess I will see you there too."
"Sure," Vali said.
Samuel noticed in that moment two things.
Vali already had his team formed: Bikou, Arthur, Le Fay, Kuroka.
He possibly took a page from Cao Cao and formed his own team from Grigori's side.
It also took into account the advice of Azazel and Samuel. Doing his own thing.
Samuel is eagerly awaiting the gathering.
He might meet Le Fay there, one of the people he assimilated.
Kuroka probably won't show up for obvious reasons.
The other thing is that Vali has tunnel vision right now, only giving short answers. His mind is searching like crazy how to beat Lancaster.
"Okay, let's take a step back and let Azazel start the spar."
"Sure," Vali said again.
Samuel just chuckles.
As Vali walked away, he began to activate his Balance Breaker.

Samuel knows he was kinda cheating because the match didn't start yet, but he let the poor fucker have it.
'I will let you buff a bit I guess, it'll be the same in the end.' Anyway, Samuel accepted that Vali made the correct move there.
Once they were far enough apart, the two got into position.
Vali putting his usual stance. Vali knows already CQC so he will try to poke and measure Lancaster.
Samuel, doing the same, put his own stance...
Everyone raised an eyebrow to Lancaster and his stance.
Lancaster, thanks to everything he has already got, is at...
The peak of the Water Smashing Rock Fist.
His favorite martial art in all fiction.
And he demonstrates this in the sheer perfection of his stance.

Azazel was sitting, giving Lancaster his full attention.
He was 99% sure Vali was going to lose. Seeing this confirms it 100%, and the fight hasn't even started.
The strongest of the world vs the strongest-to-be White Dragon Emperor.
"Show us your might. Dragonslayer," Albion said.
Samuel didn't say anything, he was just locking in.
"Start!" Azazel shouted.
Vali, in an explosion of speed, rushed at Lancaster, leaving a blue trail and raising dust.
Samuel simply waited. He deflected Vali's punch and landed a precise blow to his chin, cracking that part of the armor.
"OUFGG!"
Vali fell down to the floor while Samuel positioned himself behind him.
Props to Vali, at least he fell putting his hands down. But it was over.
Vali was dizzy, his head all over the place, can't even focus properly.
Bikou and Lavinia were in awe. They saw a blur from Samuel and poof — Vali on the floor.
Azazel, for his part, barely saw it.
Lancaster did two perfect and smooth movements, both flowed perfectly.
Vali, with difficulty and staggering, was standing up by sheer willpower.
He felt a chill in his spine as two arms grabbed him tightly around the waist and lifted him up with ease, armor and everything.
Samuel with ease suplexed Vali, using the perfect amount of force to break that part of the armor.
"AAARHG!" Vali screamed in pain.
Lavinia put her two arms to her mouth, dead of worry.
Of course, Vali also knew how to take a hit, positioning himself well before receiving the suplex; if he didn't, Samuel was ready to use his telekinesis discreetly to not kill him.
Lancaster let Vali escape quickly from his grip.
Multiple magic circles appeared and lightning rained down on Samuel.
All blocked by him.
"I'm good with lightning too. Here," said Lancaster.
Samuel paid him back in kind.
Vali didn't even cross his mind to dodge in his state. Much less destroy a magic circle.
Samuel kept firing, increasing everything: the quantity, the intensity, and the strength of his magic.
Vali blocked 12 lightnings from Samuel until they caught him. Worthy of a talented young man like him, worthy of the strongest White Dragon Emperor.
He fell to the ground exhausted and in pain, his armor broken and scorched all over the place. It was slowly being repaired.
"My win," Samuel stated.
"Aaaargh you bastard, are you good at everything?" Vali said.
'He is. Swords, spears, magic, hand-to-hand combat, experience, special objects of power...' Azazel recounted in his mind, watching the end of the fight.
'I can't imagine what would happen if he had a Sacred Gear,' Azazel thought.
"Meh. I train hard," Samuel said, giving a hand to Vali.
"...Training my ass," he said, grabbing his hand and standing up.
"Well, it was a good fight Vali, Albion."
'I guess it was this or going with the cliché of fighting the protagonist... I prefer this one,' Samuel thought.
"Stand proud, Vali, you are strong." Samuel threw to Vali a reference that only he understands.
Vali just rolled his eyes.
"ME NEXT!" Bikou shouted, running to Lancaster.
"Sorry, maybe another time, I have to go now."
"Aggh~ bad luck this time I guess." Bikou deflated a little and shrugged.
"Well guys, I have to go, bye. Thanks for the invite." And with that Samuel teleported, leaving them there.
Lavinia quickly rushed to Vali to see where he was hurt.
Vali, with a poker face, just let her; his mind was on the bitter defeat.
Azazel was sitting, making the best interpretation of the Thinker statue.
He was putting the pieces he had onto the puzzle, which was Samuel Lancaster.
A young man alone in the world, possessing immense power, and on top of all that, a mere human—HOW?
Perhaps he's half-god? Half something, from some supernatural race?
He wondered if perhaps he had met the most talented person to ever walk the face of the earth.
Many questions, few answers.
'Wait... did he just teleport from the inside of MY bounded field!?' Azazel asked, surprised.

Hours passed since I sparred with Vali.
Good spar, the Ornstein inside me feels relieved after fighting with a dragon.
It's kind of funny because I'm a bit of the antithesis of this universe. After all, I'm a dragonslayer in the Draconic Deus universe.
The gacha didn't give me anything dragon-related, just lions. Meh, I prefer lions to be honest. Besides, deep down I reject how things are in this world, which makes sense somewhat.
Talking about the gacha...
I was preparing myself for that. The clock was close to 12 pm.
Excited as always, time to pray to the RGNESUS.
I realized one thing: the stars are favoring me.
They are making me lucky.
I was having doubts. I suppose luck is one of the aspects of that complicated divinity.
Can't imagine what will happen when I transcend...
I took out AirPods that I made myself and I put them on.
Xenovia is sleeping so I can blast music like usual.

Been a while since the gacha huh?
Can't help myself with the Warframe roll hehe.
Well this chap, like I said in the previous one, a small date with Xenovia, they have fun and they talked.
A spar with Vali, Azazel still trying to figure out Lancaster and of course the good gacha.
Lets go to the topics...

Some may know that the meeting is different in the anime and the light novel.
Personally, I think the one from the light novel is objectively better.
Anime version of the meeting is more... chaotic.
I'm going to do one thing...
A combination of the two.
That's going to be fun to write. That's for sure.
A lot of people are going to be there, I want Samuel to meet people, and obviously then comes the action part...
Remember that several pantheons will appear in my version.
I do it this way because I find it more fun to write.
Now I ask my readers a question:
Who read the light novel?
Whenever they talk about the light novel in fanfics, I feel like we are just five crazy goblins out there lol.
They always say Issei is better in the light novel... so much so that it's worth going to read it? Personally no.
Then there are those people who learn everything about a series by reading fanfiction... I'd say they're weirdos!, but I did it too lmao.
I learned about RWBY by reading a ton of fanfiction, then i watched all the canon volumes and i regret it haha.
Going back with DxD im aware that many more people watched the anime and didn't even bother with the light novel, I don't blame them.
I, for my part, read it years ago. Obviously I don't remember every single detail, I might miss something. I'm telling you right now that I'm not trying to write a perfect fanfic.
Other things I did change just for fun..."butterfly effect"
I remember dropping the novel when they started with the other worlds, outer gods, nah.
For me. Trope killers are the next one: other worlds, different versions of the MC, time travel... its not my thing.

I am a veteran reader.
This makes me a skim reader by default lol.
Yes, yes, yes, I am aware that not every reader is like that.
It also happens that I'm really into looking for good fanfics... and you find all sorts of things out there...
I think that if you're a veteran, it's very difficult not to be one.
I do it a lot with MHA fanfics, I skim like a maniac.
I know the structure of MHA fics too well bro...
Entrance exam > first day > quirk test > heroes vs villains test > Nomu attack > Sports Festival (TOURNAMENT ARC!)
They usually drop after that or after they got Mirko (pervs but i understand lol), hahaha.
