Chapter 35 - The Great Demon WAR II

The moment Diehauser Belial's image vanished from the broadcast, leaving behind the stunning declaration of his defection, the fabricated reality of the Rating Game shattered completely. The entire Underworld reeled, but on the barren dimension that served as the battlefield, the chaos instantly coalesced into violence.

Sirzechs was the first to shatter the silence, his face a mask of iron determination. He raised his hand, gathering an immense sphere of crimson Power of Destruction. "Katerea! Shalba! You chose your path! Prepare for war!"

Algernon, however, descended from the sky, his six crimson-black wings settling behind him. He landed calmly between the Satans and the waiting Khaos Brigade army, a strategic position that forced everyone to pause.

He turned his back on the furious Satans and looked at his two allies, Issei Hyoudou and Kuroka. The sheer volume of the Demon Army they had summoned, a sea of devils stretching back into the dimensional rift, was overwhelming.

"Issei, Kuroka," Algernon commanded, his voice cutting through the rising tide of mana. "Your mission is not here. Take the Demon Army. You will lead them against the Khaos Brigade's supernatural forces—the mages, the devils, and the fallen angels. Overwhelm their infantry. prove your might to me."

Both Issei and Kuroka, though still sweating under the pressure of the surrounding Super Devil auras, snapped to attention. They understood that they were being put in charge of the official Demon Army.

Algernon then slowly turned to face the Four Great Satans. He ignored the advancing Legendary Dragons—Crom Cruach, Aži Dahāka, Grendel, and Ladon—as if they were nothing more than background noise.

"Lords Satans," Algernon stated, his voice carrying the authority of one who belonged among them. "Leave the common devils and the usurpers to my command. You will deal with the dragons. We cannot afford to have those beasts running rampant."

Lord Sirzechs' crimson sphere of destruction faltered. He stared at Algernon, his rage momentarily eclipsed by strategic analysis. Algernon, a Super Devil, was asking them to fight the legendary dragons while he was taking on four super devils. It was an audacious, inverted command.

"You would face Four Super devils by yourself?" Sirzechs finally asked, his voice low with skepticism.

Algernon merely smiled, a terrifying, confident smile. "Lord Lucifer. I know their's and my own strength. Now go. Deal with the dragons."

With that, Algernon simply walked past the Satans toward the Khaos Brigade forces, leaving the four rulers of the Underworld to face the monstrous roar of Crom Cruach and his legendary pack. The lines of engagement had been completely redrawn by one man's words.

The instant Algernon's voice faded, the Four Great Satans, recognizing the immediate threat posed by the Legendary Dragons, focused their terrifying power on the behemoths. The Satans surged forward, engaging Crom Cruach and his brethren in a catastrophic clash that tore the very air with sound and light.

This left Issei Hyoudou and Kuroka Toujou facing the overwhelming sight of the Demon Army at their backs and the combined forces of the Khaos Brigade's infantry—mages, fallen angels, and devils—stretching out before them. The weight of the world's most powerful military force rested suddenly on their shoulders.

Issei, wearing the blazing Boosted Gear, swallowed hard. The terror of commanding an army was palpable, but the sight of the enemy—made his blood boil with overwhelming fighting spirit.

"Alright, Kuroka! You know the magic stuff, I'll hit the big stuff!" he yelled, adrenaline surging.

Kuroka, ever the strategist, gave a sharp, confident purr. "Let's show them the strength of Azeroth clan!"

She launched herself into the air, her twin tails unfurling. With a complex series of hand seals, she unleashed a wave of high-tier Senjutsu and Youjutsu. She didn't attack the enemy directly; instead, she used her magic to coordinate the vast Demon Army behind them.

"Everyone, follow our steps! We will tear through them—now!" her voice, amplified by magic, boomed over the field.

The army, trained to respond instantly to command, flowed from the dimensional rift like a perfectly oiled machine. Under Kuroka's guidance, the legions advanced, their initial shock over Algernon's display replaced by fierce discipline.

Issei, meanwhile, was the first to fly straight toward the enemy lines alone, a blazing scarlet comet. The Khaos Brigade forces, confused by the sudden change in command and the presence of the Red Dragon Emperor, hesitated. That hesitation cost them dearly.

"Balance Break!" Issei roared, activating the Scale Mail. He slammed his fist into the ground, unleashing a destructive wave of Dragon Shot blasts that tore huge gaps in the enemy formations.

"Welsh Dragon, Transfer!"

His power surged outward, boosting the armored troops of the Demon Army, turning them into an unstoppable force. The once formidable Khaos Brigade army found itself being expertly sliced apart by their enemy, now led by a master strategist and a powerhouse of destruction. The battlefield, already red with Algernon's aura, was now consumed by the frantic, desperate fighting of the legions.

As the army's clash continued. The entire dimension kept vibrating from the terrifying spectacle of the Four Great Satans engaging the legendary dragons. The very air shrieked under the strain as ancient draconic power met the absolute might of the ruling devils.

Sirzechs Lucifer, consumed by fury over the broken tranquility of Underworld, didn't hold back. He appeared directly in the path of Crom Cruach, the Crescent Circle Dragon, who was easily the strongest of the four beasts. Sirzechs' crimson aura expanded, forming a massive, swirling galaxy of pure Power of Destruction.

"You will not set one claw on my territory, Crom Cruach!" Sirzechs roared.

Crom Cruach met the challenge with a terrifying, primal roar, his body radiating a pressure equal to the Super Devil's. He unleashed a blast of concentrated draconic energy—a destructive wave of power that instantly evaporated the ground beneath it. The two attacks collided in a silent, blinding flash, creating a miniature singularity that swallowed the light and shook the foundations of the dimension.

Simultaneously, Serafall Leviathan and Falbium Asmodeus worked in flawless concert. Serafall, with her typically cheerful demeanor replaced by fierce focus, conjured an instantaneous, complex magical circle.

From it erupted an arctic blast that encased the immense form of Grendel, the Crime Force Dragon, in a glacier of impervious ice. Falbium followed up, not with a direct attack, but with a complex defensive barrier—his specialty in defense—a multilayered field designed to absorb the destructive shockwaves of Grendel's inevitable struggle to break free.

Meanwhile, Lord Ajuka Beelzebub, the greatest magical prodigy, engaged the two remaining dragons: Aži Dahāka and Ladon. Ajuka didn't rely on raw power, but on intellect. He used his unique magic to analyze the dragons' auras, instantly deducing the weakness in their flow of power. He wasn't trying to destroy them; he was trying to bind them.

"Your power is ancient, but predictable!" Ajuka declared.

He conjured massive, twisting chains of pure magical energy that bypassed the dragons' armor and wrapped around their very existence, squeezing their life force and limiting their ability to unleash full-power attacks. Ajuka forced the two legendary beasts into a defensive struggle, setting up the board for the final, decisive move.

The battle was a terrifying showcase of absolute power, strategic brilliance, and the desperate defense of the Underworld's established rulers.

While the Four Great Satans hurled the power of the Underworld at the legendary dragons, the leaders of the Khaos Brigade—Katerea Leviathan, Creuserey Asmodeus, Shalba Beelzebub, and Euclid Lucifuge—realized their plan was already exposed and they were ambushed here in this dimension.

Their attention snapped to Algernon, who was now walking toward them, ignoring the apocalyptic chaos unfolding just a few hundred yards away.

"You seem… agitated," Algernon noted, stopping a short distance away, his six crimson-black wings flexing slightly behind him. His composure was unnerving, an insult to their desperate situation.

Katerea Leviathan, her face a furious snarl, unleashed a burst of dark energy. "You arrogant upstart! You dare mock us? We are the true inheritors of the Great Satans! We will crush you for this insolence!"

She launched a devastating wave of purple power at Algernon.

Algernon didn't even bother to dodge. As the attack approached him it kept shrinking until it vanished. This level of attack couldn't even bypass the Law of Destruction that kept him constantly surrounded.

"You, who didn't even inherit Leviathan Clan's Sea Serpent of the End," spoke Algernon with sarcasm, "seem to be only capable of relying on borrowed power."

Simultaneously, Shalba Beelzebub opened a portal of void magic, intending to instantly banish Algernon to a desolate corner of the dimension. Creuserey Asmodeus began rapidly chanting an intricate ritual, aiming to strip Algernon of his Super Devil transformation. Euclid Lucifuge, the calculating wildcard, conjured a vast shield of demonic power to block any of Algernon's retaliatory attacks.

The void magic twisted and dissipated a few inches from his skin. Creuserey's ritual failed utterly, its complex sequence unraveling against the sheer density of Algernon's existence.

"Such predictable methods," Algernon murmured, disappointment etched on his face.

He didn't need to move his body. With a mere thought, the space around the four leaders twisted into an agonizing knot. Gravity increased exponentially on them. Shalba cried out as his magic faltered. Euclid's protective shield instantly shattered, the shock of the collapse sending him sprawling backward.

Algernon's sudden application of hyper-gravity—brought the four leaders to their knees, but these were no ordinary devils. They were heirs to the legacy of the original Satans, beings driven by a fanatic desire for power. The surprise was momentary.

With a guttural cry of sheer will, Katerea Leviathan pushed against the crushing force. Her eyes burned with a defiance that mirrored her ancestor's pride. She stabilized herself, though every muscle in her body screamed under the immense weight.

Shalba Beelzebub fared slightly better, his knowledge of spatial manipulation allowing him to instinctively create small counter-vortices of energy to slightly alleviate the pressure.

Creuserey Asmodeus and Euclid Lucifuge followed suit, adapting to the brutal change in physics through sheer magical density. They stood, swaying, their movements slow and heavy, like fighters submerged in water. Their speed was drastically reduced, but their will to fight was unbroken.

"You may control the stage, upstart, but you cannot win against the true lineage of the Satans!" Shalba roared, his voice strained.

Algernon merely smiled, a predatory gleam in his eyes. He was going to savoring the challenge.

The four leaders launched their concerted attack.

Katerea unleashed a barrage of crimson-purple energy spheres, moving slowly but carrying a bone-crushing mass.

Shalba aiming to isolate Algernon's limbs and sever his connection to the dimension. Creuserey focused entirely on a temporal slow-down spell designed to further cripple Algernon's reaction time.

Meanwhile, Euclid, kept summoned multiple high-level demonic beasts—a hord fiends—to swarm Algernon.

Algernon moved with a terrifying economy of motion. He didn't use a grand attack. Instead, he met power with perfect counter-force.

When Katerea's slow-moving spheres arrived, he simply extended his hand, and his own Law of Destruction flared, not outward, but inward. His aura absorbed and neutralized her power, pulling the energy into himself before unleashing it as a razor-sharp, scarlet crescent that forced Katerea to put all her energy into a desperate defense.

He sidestepped Shalba's void-strings with a shift that defied the gravity he himself had created, then countered with a sudden, localized burst of time-space compression that forced Shalba to expend his magic to prevent his own body from folding in on itself.

The summoned fiends of Euclid were annihilated with a mere wave of Algernon's hand, disintegrating before they could even complete their roar. He was a whirlwind of controlled, surgical strikes.

The fight was visually slow due to the crushing gravity, but the exchange of high-level magic was instantaneous and lethal. Algernon was fighting all four simultaneously, holding his ground, meeting every desperate strategy with an effortless supremacy that nonetheless demanded his full, calculated attention.
