The girls softened, their expressions melting into fond smiles. All four hugged him at once, arms winding around his waist and shoulders.
Javier relaxed into their embrace, letting the tension melt away for a moment.
He looked around. "Hmm? Where's Delya?" he asked, glancing from face to face.
Liana pulled back, lips quirking. "I believe she's over at that table, pouting."
Javier followed her gaze and spotted Delya sitting apart, arms folded, cheeks puffed out in a clear show of annoyance.
He blinked. "Err… what happened?"
Liana grinned, lowering her voice. "We all agreed to secure the table for everyone, but since she lost at rock-paper-scissors, so she's stuck waiting there by herself."
Javier stifled a chuckle, shaking his head. "Ah, I see. Well… let's go join her before she gets any moodier."
He smiled and started leading the group toward their table.
As soon as Javier sat down, Delya kept her arms folded, her pout deepening. She wouldn't even look his way.
