Chapter 253 - Chapter 252

"The first is a handgun enthusiast looking for the limited edition Blu S55 No.1 produced by the Mijette Company. The second is an antique plate collector searching for commemorative plates released by the Rhode Company between 1655 and 1657."

"As for the third person... they're a human collector searching for a complete human skin tattooed with a rising dragon and the head of a child suffering from chronic diarrhea, among other things."

The proprietress propped her head on her wrist, lazily remarking, "These hobbies are quite unique, aren't they?"

"Which one are you interested in?"

Kurapika glanced at the three options and quickly made his decision. Following the address and instructions provided by the proprietress, Kurapika soon found the residence of the human collector.

The Nostrade Family.

Staring at the sign in front of him, Kurapika stepped forward and rang the doorbell. After introducing himself and stating his purpose, the door opened, and Kurapika entered.

As he surveyed his surroundings, noting the numerous dogs, he was led into the grand hall by the old butler. Inside the opulent hall, five people were already waiting.

A short, bald woman with protruding teeth, barely recognizable as female. A man with simian features and the distinctive brown-yellow crew cut typical of Western Europeans.

A burly middle-aged man with a pompadour, casually lounging on the sofa in a leather jacket, smoking. A tall, slender figure with a red dot on his forehead and skin resembling that of an African.

And then...

Kurapika focused his attention on the woman sitting cross-legged on the sofa, quietly reading alone. With a captivating face and an impressive figure, she stood out.

"She must be the strongest among them," Kurapika surmised, relying on his extraordinary perceptive abilities to make a quick assessment.

Meanwhile, the large screen in the center of the hall slowly unfolded. Appearing on it was the figure of the Nostrade Family's head butler, Dazone, almost flanked by companions. He wore a superior smile as he began explaining the qualifications for hiring bodyguards.

Kurapika listened quietly, as if everything had returned to its destined path.

"Is that so? To pass the time, you randomly took a bodyguard job?" In a luxurious room in Yorknew City.

Morin stood on the balcony, listening to the call from Baise.

"After all, being alone can be quite boring at times."

Baise's voice came through the phone, sultry and slightly resentful, "But the bodyguard job I found involves protecting the family's young princess, not some random smelly man. Are you satisfied now?"

Her voice was playful, teasing Morin's heartstrings.

"What you choose to do is your business. You're not a vase or my subordinate..." Morin chuckled, "Just make sure you stay safe."

Indeed, just like in the original version, Baise joined the Nostrade Family again to pass the time out of boredom. She even successfully passed the screening to become Neon's bodyguard.

"I initially came with a playful attitude, but this family exceeded my expectations," Baise shared her observations with Morin,

"The family's young heiress possesses a remarkable fortune-telling ability, and her predictions are quite accurate. It seems she's a natural Specialist in Nen."

"Thanks to her fortune-telling ability, this previously unknown small family has risen rapidly over a few years, becoming an emerging mafia family that can't be ignored."

"However, because of this, the shallow foundation of a nouveau riche is easily exposed."

"From my investigation, there are quite a few Nen users in this family, but almost none are experts."

"They've realized this too, so they're actively recruiting another round of bodyguards."

"There are a few who are barely passable, with decent qualities, but their strength is just so-so."

"However, there is a young man named Kurapika who stands out as quite exceptional and shows potential for development."

Baise relayed the situation of the Nostrade Family to Morin over the phone, which was mostly consistent with the original.

They were also planning to arrive in Yorknew City by the end of August to participate in the annual fantasy auction.

Morin gave Baise a few brief reminders, covering the essentials, before ending the call.

"Sorry for the wait." Returning from the balcony to the room, Morin smiled at the person sitting on the sofa, "Apologies for taking so long."

"Your complexion looks much better than when we first met," Morin remarked to the slender figure before him, "Miss Lisa Fritz."

"Thanks to Mr. Morin's help," Lisa Fritz, whose ravaged face had been healed by Morin years ago at his agency, responded respectfully.

She was in awe of Morin's miraculous skills back then. After years apart, she felt that Mr. Morin seemed even more unfathomable.

Especially in the years following, Lisa Fritz had not forgotten to inquire about Morin and Kastro.

---

When Kastro became a powerful figure within the Hunter Association's Zodiac Twelve, Lisa understood even more clearly that Mr. Morin and his apprentice were undoubtedly top-tier individuals.

If the apprentice could reach such heights, there was no need to question the master's capabilities!

Upon meeting Morin again, she showed great respect, not only out of gratitude for restoring her face but also due to Morin's formidable strength and Kastro's status within the Hunter Association.

From any perspective, they were not something a mere city mafia could contend with.

"This time, Mr. Morin, I assume you're here for this year's Yorknew City auction?" Lisa Fritz asked sincerely, her beautiful face looking at Morin.

"As long as it's within my power, please feel free to command me!"

Lisa Fritz was eager to work for Morin, hoping to establish a connection that would provide the Fritz Family with a formidable backing.

Despite the mafia's apparent grandeur and arrogance, they are merely dancing on the edge of a knife. In the underworld, where violence and chaos reign, one never knows when they might fall.

Even though the Fritz Family is currently the largest mafia in Yorknew City, there's no telling when they might be replaced by an emerging family.

Not even the so-called top mafia leaders, the Ten Dons, have remained unchanged over the years. This is the harsh reality of the dark underground world, where strength is the only currency.

As long as it doesn't threaten their rule, the V5 pays little attention to the comings and goings of mafia power. The Fritz Family may appear prosperous, but they tread carefully, ever aware of their precarious position.

"I am indeed here for the auction," Morin replied. "According to some information I've received, this auction promises to be unprecedented."

He smiled, slightly emphasizing his words, "I don't need Miss Lisa to do much. Just report to me immediately about anything related to the auction that you become aware of."

"I'm sure that as the leading mafia family in Yorknew City, the Fritz Family will be informed by the Ten Dons if they plan anything."

"Of course, if there are any additional tasks later, I will inform you."

"What do you think, Miss Lisa?" Morin asked finally.

"Of course, no problem!" Lisa Fritz nodded eagerly. "During this time, Mr. Morin, feel free to instruct us. The Fritz Family will surely be your most reliable partner!"

She was more than willing to help Morin.

"Then here's to a successful partnership." Morin extended his hand to Lisa.

"To a successful partnership!" Lisa, suppressing her excitement, shook his hand firmly. With this, Morin established a powerful foundation in Yorknew City.

Yorknew City's fantasy auction is renowned worldwide. It is the largest annual auction market globally! Within just ten days, the public auctions alone see trillions in currency flow!

An item bought yesterday for ten thousand could sell for a billion Jenny today! It's a dream market for striking it rich! Among the thousands of auctions, many deal exclusively with crime-related items.

When Gon and Killua arrived in Yorknew City, they immediately felt the bustling atmosphere. Upon returning home, they received a box left by Ging Freecss from Mito, revealing the existence of the Greed Island game.

They spent 20 million Jenny online seeking information about Greed Island, only to find that the last sale price reached a staggering 8.9 billion Jenny. The money they earned at Heaven's Arena only amounted to around 800 million, not even close to the asking price.

Therefore, before the official auction, Gon and Killua planned to see if they could find valuable items to sell for profit. In the lively market, they soon reunited with Leorio.

Amidst Leorio's intense bargaining, which drew a crowd of onlookers cheering him on, Gon and Killua managed to buy a decent beetle phone at a very low price. The three continued their efforts to earn money.

Meanwhile, with the grand fantasy auction approaching, nearly every airship company opened routes to Yorknew City. Numerous celebrities, wealthy individuals, and families headed there. Even small-time individuals planned to try their luck in Yorknew City.
