Chapter 297 - If only Snape’s greasy hair could be washed clean

Hearing Dumbledore's words, Lynn's mouth twitched.

He thought Dumbledore would blame him for beating the professor in public, and in fact, Dumbledore did mention the incident, but he never expected that Dumbledore would instigate him to put Professor Moody in a sack in the middle of the night.

If Lynn hadn't known that the authority of Hogwarts Castle was held by the headmaster and that no one else could enter the headmaster's office without permission, Lynn would have probably suspected that the Dumbledore in front of him was someone disguised as Polyjuice Potion.

"It was wrong of me to beat him up like this in front of his classmates, but there's no need to put a sack on him in the middle of the night, right? What if he gets scared away?"

Lynn said with his mouth twitching wildly.

Hearing this, Dumbledore smiled. He sat down at his desk and raised his wand. "I'm just making a small suggestion. It's up to you whether to do it or not. Tea or coffee?"

Lynn shrugged, sat down opposite Dumbledore, and said, "Black tea, please."

Dumbledore waved his wand gently, and a cup of black tea with hot white mist appeared in front of Lynn.

After Lynn raised his teacup and took a sip, Dumbledore asked casually, "The Triwizard Tournament will begin soon. Are you ready?"

Lynn smiled and raised his glass to indicate, and said, "If you mean to break the alchemical restriction on the Goblet of Fire, then I think I am ready."

If it were any other alchemist, it would be extremely difficult to break Dumbledore's alchemical restriction, because they didn't even know what the alchemical circle made by Dumbledore looked like. They could only make their own alchemical circle with a breaking effect, and then use their own alchemical circle to collide with Dumbledore's alchemical circle to completely destroy it.

However, if an alchemical array created by a demon-level wizard contains an alchemical array with energy storage and counterattack functions, it will be enough to deter other alchemists.

After all, no alchemist below the level of high wizard can consume all the magic power stored in the alchemical array of a high-level wizard.

But Lynn is an exception. Having learned the secret technique from Nicolas Flamel, he can make the alchemical array hidden inside the alchemical creation appear. This also means that Lynn can crack or even learn the other party's alchemical array by observing the other party's alchemical array!

As early as three years ago, Lynn used this method to learn many alchemical arrays from the Mirror of Erised that he would not have been able to access otherwise. This also laid a solid foundation for him to learn illusion arrays this year.

Three years ago, in the Mirror of Erised, Lynn had learned three alchemical arrays with main attributes of "captivating the mind", "illusion" and "lost". When Lynn was refining the illusion array, he connected these three alchemical arrays into the original system of the illusion array.

The reason why Green almost got lost after entering Lynn's illusion array during the summer vacation was not only because of the reality of the illusion itself and Green's deep memory of that incident, but also because of the alchemy array with "lost" as its main attribute played a vital role.

Therefore, when faced with the alchemical array that had appeared in front of him, Lynn did not need to fight against the enemy with an egg like other alchemists. He could directly learn the alchemical array on the alchemical restriction and reverse analyze it to break it down.

This is also the confidence that Lynn has when facing Dumbledore.

After Lynn left the principal's office, the rest of the time passed slowly.

After Professor Moody recovered from his injuries, he returned to the classroom. Because Madam Pomfrey had a private talk with Dumbledore, Professor Moody was warned not to cast the Unforgivable Curse on young wizards anymore.

This meant that the young wizards in Irina's class did not suffer the ravages of the Imperius Curse. Instead, after Professor Moody finished demonstrating the three unforgivable curses, they hastily ended this type of class and started to get down to business.

Soon, it was mid-to-late October.

When everyone arrived at the foyer that day, they noticed a huge title on the sign erected at the foot of the marble staircase: Triwizard Tournament!

"Representatives from Beauxbatons School of Magic and Durmstrang School of Magic will arrive at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30th. Classes that afternoon will end half an hour early. Students are requested to return their backpacks and textbooks to their dormitories and gather in front of the castle to greet our guests and attend the welcome banquet."

A young wizard read out the contents of the notice, which made most of the young wizards around excited.

This notice that appeared in the entrance hall had a significant impact on the young wizards in Hogwarts Castle. For the next week, people in the castle seemed to talk about only one topic: the Triwizard Tournament.

All sorts of rumors spread quickly among the young wizards like highly contagious bacteria, and most of the content they spread was about who would compete to be the champion of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, what events would be in the competition, and what were the differences between the young wizards of Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and Durmstrang School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and themselves.

In addition, the castle seemed to be undergoing a major cleaning during this week, and several dirty portraits were scrubbed clean, which made the characters being scrubbed very dissatisfied. They sat huddled in the frames, muttering sullenly, and grimaced in pain every time they touched the newly exposed pink tender flesh on their faces.

The armors in the castle suddenly became shiny and no longer creaked when they moved.

Looking at the castle that had become brand new, Irina heard Ron always muttering something like "If only Snape's greasy hair could be washed clean."

On the morning of October 30th, when the little wizards went downstairs for breakfast, they found that the hall had been decorated overnight, with huge silk banners hanging on the walls, each representing a Hogwarts school.

Among them, the red background with a golden lion is Gryffindor, the blue background with a bronze eagle is Ravenclaw, the yellow background with a black badger is Hufflepuff, and the green background with a silver python is Slytherin.

Behind the teachers' seats, there was a largest banner with the Hogwarts crest: a lion, eagle, badger, and snake connected together, surrounding the capital letter "H" of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Soon, with the last class of the afternoon ending early, all the teachers and students in the castle gathered in the auditorium. Led by the professors, everyone walked down the steps in an orderly manner and lined up in front of the castle.

It was a cold, fresh evening. Night was falling and a white, translucent moon was already hanging over the Forbidden Forest.
