Chapter 22 - Flirtatious Ranfan

"Heyyy handsome~ Sorry for sneaking up on you. You won't be angry with a beauty like me, right?"

The attractive girl twirled her hair and twisted her waist; her hands were on Tien's chest, and she winked at him in a flirtatious way.

Tien watched her performance with interest; her super flirtatious way of speaking reminded him of a woman he had seen before.

"You are Ranfan, aren't you?"

Tien calmly gazed at the girl whose smile just froze.

"You were a quarterfinalist in the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament, but you lost against Nam."

"For a regular earthling, you do have some strength, but what's unique about you is your fighting style."

"You strip off your clothes and flirt with your opponents, then attack them when they are distracted."

"Maybe that's what you are trying to do right now, distracting me with your charms?"

Ranfan laughed dryly after Tien exposed all her information, but still, she did not stop suggestively rubbing her hands over Tien.

"I am flattered you remember me, Mr. World Champion Tien."

Ranfan spoke huskily.

"As for why I followed you, maybe I recognized the world champion flying in the sky and wanted to take a closer look."

"Or maybe I was trying to distract you. Don't you want to find out which one it is?"

Her continued bold actions made Tien not know what to say. From the original story he knew Ranfan was flirtatious like this and would change after marrying Trunks.

But for now, she was an overly touchy person and nothing else.

Shaking his head, Tien no longer entertained her and flew out of her grasp. Without looking back at her, he disappeared into a hotel to rest.

After speaking with the front desk and paying for the night, Tien tiredly locked his room and fell straight onto the bed.

"I hope I can find someone tomorrow who's capable of being my director."

Martial artists all had one fault: they were strong, but they all lacked personality charm. Which was essential for the role of a director.

A director can't be successful if they don't have a good grasp of people's thinking and don't have the necessary charm to make people listen.

"If only there was a martial artist who specialized in charm and reading people."

Tien smiled while thinking how unrealistic this kind of martial artist was, but then he suddenly stopped and his eyes shook.

"Wait a minute, a martial artist who reads people and is focused on charm, that's Ranfan."

He had met the perfect director just now, but he stupidly let her go, Tien groaned, thinking what an absolute blunder he had made.

Just as Tien was cursing himself for a missed opportunity, the door to his room was silently unlocked from outside.

Tien's ears twitched, and he glared at the secretly opening door. What kind of idiotic thief barges into a room like that?

Creak

"Heyyy..."

Ranfan entered Tien's room while twirling a hairpin in her hand, which she had just used to open the door.

"You flew away so fast, I had to ask around before I found you."

"Can I come in? I just want to talk, Mr. Champion."

Ranfan said champion huskily, and Tien took a deep breath; for his kingdom, maybe he needed to make some sacrifices.

"Close the door behind you."

Hearing these words, Ranfan's smile widened considerably. Not wasting any time, she closed the door and locked it from the inside.

After morning came around, Tien understood two things.

First, Ranfan was really good at words and would make an excellent director. Second, the sound insulation of this room was pretty good.

"Good morning, Tien, Did you have fun last night?"

While Tien was lost in thought, Ranfan woke up and hugged him from behind.

"You're awake? What do you think about my proposal? Do you want to be my director?"

Tien asked Ranfan curiously; she had accepted his offer last night, but he had to confirm it once more.

"Of course I'll be your country's department head; I already accepted it last night, didn't I!?"

Ranfan laughed while twirling her hair.

"The reason I followed you yesterday was because I recognized you as the previous world champion."

"You are a strong fighter and were single the last time we met, so I wanted to see if we could be a thing."

"My plan is to settle down with a reliable and powerful guy. I have been searching for months for a potential guy."

Squeezing Tien's biceps, Ranfan smirked.

"As you can see, I struck gold with you. If you promise to marry me, I can be anything you want, dear, director included."

Ranfan's demands were steep, but it was worth considering. She was capable and attractive; he had no reason not to consider her demands.

Although marriage was a promise he wasn't willing to give Ranfan. He was a future galactic empire's king; his queen must not be chosen randomly.

Launch got the queen position because she is super loyal, and her transformation powers are unique. She will add genetic variety to Triclops.

Ranfan, on the other hand, had none of that going for her; the only thing she had was a very attractive physique and above-average fighting talent.

"Sure, we can be a couple, but marriage is out of the question."

Tien thought for a bit and gave her his counteroffer.

"I am the king of the Triclops empire, a continent-sized kingdom covering a tenth of the planet."

"You can't become the queen of such an empire; the best position I can give you is that of a concubine."

"Although you'll still be the director of the martial arts department and will have the final say in that department."

Tien proposed his offer and let her process it. Although he denied her request for marriage and demoted her to concubine, he wasn't worried that she would reject him.

Manipulation 101 was an art form Tien was well versed in; he first rejected Ranfan's hopes then immediately followed up with benefits she could have if she listened to him.

For a superficial woman like Ranfan, being a concubine of a mighty king wasn't unacceptable, especially if Tien trusted her enough to give her a high position in his kingdom.

"Wow! You are actually the king of such a massive empire; that's amazing."

Ranfan's eyes glowed.

"Sign me up! I am your lover and will be your empire's future martial arts director."

"But dear, if I perform well enough, can I be promoted to an official queen in the future?"

Ranfan requested again in a husky voice. Tien smiled and mentally praised her ingenuity; Ranfan was a natural people pleaser and knew what to say.

"Fine, if you prove yourself, you can be the empire's queen in the future."

With a promise from Tien, both him and Ranfan were satisfied. The new couple celebrated their partnership by extending their hotel stay by one more day.

When the second day rolled around, the duo quietly left the hotel and Ranfan finally started looking into her job.

"You are telling me that our kingdom's martial artists are a group of starving refugees?"

Ranfan was staring wide-eyed at Triclops Empire's population data that Tien had just handed to her.

Her eyes were jumping, and she was starting to think she had made the wrong decision to join.
