Rumble—rumble—rumble!
When Lu Jun no longer restrained himself and fully released his aura, it was as though an ancient god-devil tore free from a human shell, ferocious and terrifying. Curses, Psychic power, Metal and Water Seeds—countless dreadful auras spilled forth.
The several members of the Rogue Society present felt themselves shaken. The Silk Man's expression changed drastically, as if facing a mortal enemy.
Before he could even speak, Lu Jun said lightly, "Let the rain come."
Above Hangzhou, dark clouds suddenly gathered, layer upon layer like overlapping fish scales. Black clouds pressed down on the city, threatening to crush it.
Immediately after, a torrential downpour descended. The entire city was shrouded in a hazy curtain of rain. Rivers and streams surged upward in stages, as if a massive flood were breaking out.
But this was not the end.
Outside the city, in some distant wilderness
The vast black clouds began to rotate, collapsing inward to form a gigantic vortex. A heaven-connecting water tornado linked sky and earth, like a terrifying funnel mouth, drawing in all the water vapor from hundreds of kilometers around.
At the Hangzhou Tribunal, Tang Zhong, Tang Yue, Night Eagle, and other experts all wore grave expressions as they rose and gazed into the distance, murmuring, "Who is fighting out there, releasing Super-tier magic? Or is some great Yangtze demon causing havoc?"
Gurgle—gurgle.
Within West Lake's Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, an enormous shadow faintly appeared and disappeared. The Totem Black Serpent was awakened, sensing the aura of its own kind, as well as that of its benefactor from the past.
"This won't do," Tang Yue said solemnly. "The Black Serpent has been disturbed. Something major must be happening, I need to go see for myself."
Moments later, the fiery women vanished from where she stood, slipping into the shadows and racing swiftly toward the outskirts.
At the same time, Lu Jun hovered in the sky, enveloped by the heaven-piercing water tornado. He wore a deep, mysterious long robe, imprinted with a Northern Abyss Sea diagram, sleeves embroidered with sun, moon, and starlight, formed from Northern Abyss Heavy Water and Three-Radiance Divine Water.
With every gesture, endless torrents of water surged toward the heavens. Two crystal-clear treasure orbs revolved around him—the Water-Avoidance Pearl and the River-Suppressing Pearl—both unleashed, granting an eighteenfold amplification of power.
In an instant, this entire region was drowned by the surging Northern Abyss Sea. Above and below, all was pitch-black vastness. Roaring waves swept across the nine heavens, as if they were about to drag the great sun down from beyond the sky and extinguish it.
The Silk Man and the others had no time to react before their entire bodies plunged as though into a bottomless ocean abyss, soaked in black water. Looking upward, they could not see the sea surface. Heavy, cold, majestic force crushed down upon their bodies.
Meanwhile, the surrounding mountains and hills, ancient towering trees, and the vast land itself shattered inch by inch beneath the black marsh.
Hundreds-of-meters-tall ancient trees were as insignificant as seaweed in the ocean. Even the peaks of towering mountain rocks could not reach the sea surface, everything was water.
Northern Abyss Water, one drop could dissolve mountains and seas. More than forty drops of Northern Abyss Water were unleashed at once, combined with a top-tier Soul Seed, Water-element Calamity power, and Super-tier spell methods. The destructive power had already reached the level of a fully cultivated Super-tier mage without a Heavenly Seed.
The swamp forest terrain that once stretched for dozens of kilometers vanished completely, replaced by a boundless ocean.
From the outside, the sight was even more shocking. Millions of Hangzhou residents cried out as they looked into the distance. Not far from the city, a black curtain of water hung from the horizon, endless and boundless, reaching straight into the clouds. The roar of waves echoed across the sky.
It was as if an entire sea had been transplanted there out of thin air.
Someone said in terror, "What's going on? It's only because the seawater is confined to one area, if it were to spill out, wouldn't all of Hangzhou be flooded?"
At the center of the black sea marsh, the Super-tier mage Silk Man screamed. His entire body erupted with destructive magical aura, yet he still could not break free from the suppression of the Northern Abyss Sea.
The other two Rogue Society members were likewise trapped, their faces filled with horror—like lone leaves adrift on the ocean, with no support at all. If even a slight storm rose, they would die without burial.
As for Zeng Guanglie and the Dog Man, there was no need to mention them. Mere High-tier mages, even though the power was not concentrated on them, a single ripple was enough to send them drifting helplessly, life and death no longer their own.
The golden flames that had once covered the mountains were long extinguished—snuffed out even more easily than a tiny spark.
Only the area where the green giant cocoon stood was deliberately preserved by Lu Jun. Protected by water-avoidance power, it remained exactly as before. The boundless seawater automatically parted as it approached, forming an inverted jade-bowl-like barrier.
Time seemed peaceful there.
Yu Shishi stared at this scene in shock, swallowing hard. Just who was this person—what kind of existence possessed such heaven-defying cultivation?
Immediately after, she felt exhilarated. No matter what, this person was a friend, not an enemy, this was personally acknowledged by the Totem.
Rumble—rumble—rumble!
Golden Tooth's entire body erupted with lightning. Hundreds of thick, ancient-tree-like bolts of domineering thunder interwove into a net as he struggled to resist.
Even so, pain wracked his entire body. Flesh, bones, organs, and even his spiritual world felt as though they were about to melt into this vast Northern Abyss Sea.
He watched helplessly as the surrounding land was repeatedly eroded and scoured by the black water, edges smoothed away, mountains flattened. In just a few seconds, the ground slowly collapsed. Even if Lu Jun withdrew his divine power, this place would still become a vast lake.
And because of the green cocoon, there would be a floating forest island within that lake.
But Golden Tooth did not want his remains buried beneath a lake. If he did not break free now, that fate would be unavoidable.
Grinding his teeth, eyes blazing with fury, he condensed a golden thunder greatblade between his hands, his exclusive Lightning-element Transcendent Power. His figure flickered uncertainly as he activated Shadow-element Super-tier magic, barely able to move under the crushing weight.
Golden tooth closed in, swinging the massive golden blade as he slashed toward Lu Jun.
Clang!
Lu Jun's expression was indifferent. With a flip of his hand, he grasped the Tai'e Sword and slashed down. The White Tiger Pendant and Divine Seal Benediction flashed together as ninefold Tai-Bai Divine Treasury erupted.
A streak of white-gold supreme radiance cut through the depths of the black sea, dazzling beyond compare, nearly filling everyone's vision. Its peerless sharpness was fully revealed—even Yu Shishi, supposedly the safest, shed tears of blood. It was faster than the extreme itself.
When the sword light vanished, the Super-tier mage Golden tooth stood frozen within the seawater, unable to move.
Crack!
The next second, the lightning greatblade in his hands snapped apart. His entire body was split vertically into two halves, the corpse silently dissolving into the black water.
As for the remaining Silk Man and the Short Man, neither possessed Shadow magic. Space-element and Ice-element powers spread outward, they were unable to shake the black sea and escape. They were nothing more than withered bones in a grave, melting away in the Northern Abyss Water in no time.
At the moment of death, both wore faces filled with resentment and terror, seemingly unable to comprehend encountering such a terrifying powerhouse.
Lu Jun slowly sheathed his sword, opened his mouth, and inhaled. The boundless ocean was drawn into him, the torrential rain across the sky and the great marshes in all directions vanished without a trace. The air became fresh and moist, the great sun hung high in the void, as if everything just now had been an illusion.
Looking out, the swampy mountains and forests had been leveled. In their place lay a graceful, exquisite lake resting quietly. Water mist naturally rose and gathered into dense fog, concealing within it the forested island and the massive cocoon at its center, filled with poetic ambience.
This scene left Yu Shishi stunned. Only then did she realize that the battle just now had been real, yet the methods used hardly looked like those of a mage, carrying instead the flavor of an immortal.
Lu Jun inwardly inspected the forty-two drops of Northern Abyss Heavy Water returning to and re-condensing within his dantian. Their luster was slightly dimmer, but the amount of contained water was unchanged. He nodded in satisfaction.
Three internationally renowned Super-tier mages had fallen here without the slightest ability to resist.
He was not surprised. With both Metal-element and Water-element spell systems complete, and while condensing Calamity talents, if he could not instantly kill a few opponents like this, his reputation would be undeserved.
One must know that Lu Jun could match the future Mo Fan who had learned fusion spell methods. Mo Fan could instantly kill them—so how could Lu Jun possibly lag behind?
Just as Lu Jun turned his head, he suddenly heard a sharp cry and saw the Dog Man on the island in the lake, drenched and bedraggled, desperately holding Yu Shishi hostage as he shouted sternly, "Don't move, or I'll kill her!"
Hearing this, Lu Jun sized up Zeng Guanglie and the Dog Man, then let out a dry chuckle. "Heh, heh, heh. I was so busy killing the Rogue Society's Super-tier mages that I forgot about two little rats."
