"Is this a new world?"
Nana had never imagined Qian Ran could control such a terrifying place. Even the so-called Hyper Douluos couldn't possibly possess something like this.
"This doesn't truly count as a world," Qian Ran explained. "Here, there's only land—no real sky. The Douluo World we live in is a planet with a complete ecosystem. If we journey upwards, we can enter the infinite vastness of space. But this realm contains only undead creatures, and it has boundaries. The edges are shrouded in darkness and void. Any being from this realm that reaches the boundary will be swallowed by the void."
This was a semi-plane created by Electrolux—a necromantic laboratory for experimenting with undead creatures after his ascension to godhood.
"Was this plane artificially created?" Nana asked.
"Yes," Qian Ran nodded. "The one who created this semi-plane was the Necromantic Holy God and the Scourge of the Undead, Electrolux. I acquired it through certain methods."
He noticed Nana's shocked expression and continued his explanation.
Unlike Huo Yuhao, Qian Ran's [Gate of the Undead] granted him a clear spiritual imprint on this realm. He could sense every creature within it and command their absolute loyalty.
"It's truly incredible. Thank you for telling me all this."
Nana gazed at Qian Ran with a mix of awe and gratitude.
In her mind, this was probably Qian Ran's greatest secret. The fact that he was willing to share it with her filled her heart with a deep sense of appreciation.
Without further comment, Qian Ran led Nana up a small hill.
When they reached the top, they were met with a chilling sight.
Behind the hill lay a vast expanse of skeletons, their skulls neatly turning toward them in unison. Within their empty sockets burned crimson soul flames, numbering in the hundreds.
As hundreds of skeletal beings swiveled their heads, the fiery glow in their eyes flickered intensely, casting faint halos in the air.
With a thought, Qian Ran summoned the vengeful spirits he had just absorbed. They surged toward him in a massive wave, halting ten meters away and standing in silent reverence.
"Go on, talk to your parents," Qian Ran said, giving Nana a light pat on her firm backside.
Without hesitation, Nana rushed forward, eagerly searching for her parents.
About ten minutes later, Nana returned. Her eyes were red and swollen from crying, but her expression was resolute as she knelt before Qian Ran.
"Master, thank you. Without you, I would never have been able to see my parents again. They told me they are very satisfied with this place."
Her voice was filled with emotion, her gratitude palpable.
She felt a deep sense of relief knowing she could now see her parents whenever she wanted.
Although they were no longer alive, they could still exist in this world. Her parents had reassured her that they felt safe here and even had the opportunity to grow stronger. Despite their transformation into undead beings, they could still be together as a family, which was the best outcome she could hope for.
This undead world provided a peaceful existence for spirits, perfectly suited for their survival. However, ordinary humans couldn't last long in such an environment without protection. The vengeful spirits Qian Ran had taken from the Holy Spirit Cult would mostly become food for stronger undead.
The only exceptions were Nana's parents, who thrived under Qian Ran's protection.
"I've marked your parents with a seal. None of the creatures here will harm them. Who knows? They might even become the rulers of this world one day," Qian Ran said with a faint smile.
The undead in this semi-plane could grow stronger by devouring each other. Qian Ran planned to further enhance the ecosystem, fostering even more powerful entities.
"Thank you, Master. You've fulfilled my life's greatest wish. From now on, I will serve you faithfully, no matter the cost," Nana said, her voice trembling with sincerity.
Her heart overflowed with gratitude. She no longer hesitated in her decision to become Qian Ran's servant. She wouldn't flinch even if he demanded her life.
In fact, she considered being the servant of such a powerful soul master a great honor. To Nana, Qian Ran was no longer merely an exceptional genius; he was a true powerhouse.
Following him seemed like the best decision she could make.
Moreover, her ability to see her parents depended entirely on Qian Ran's will. If she earned his favor, her parents would enjoy better treatment in the undead world. On the other hand, if she angered him, he could easily destroy her parents—or simply withdraw his protection, leaving them to perish in this cruel environment.
Logically and emotionally, Nana knew she could only pledge her loyalty to Qian Ran.
"As long as you stay loyal, I will never mistreat you or your family," Qian Ran said, pulling her to her feet. His hands brushed along her waist, his fingers lingering on her toned, shapely hips.
Nana's tall, athletic frame, long legs, and perky round hips created an image of beauty that few could match. Years of training had given her a fit, vibrant appearance rarely found in other women.
The sensation beneath his fingertips was deeply satisfying.
"Yes, Master," Nana said, her face flushing red.
She felt no resistance to Qian Ran's touch. Though shy, she found herself eagerly anticipating his next move.
If Qian Ran didn't take things further, she feared she would remain just another pretty face to him. But if he claimed her, it would bring them closer, solidifying her place in his life.
For both her own sake and her parents', this was incredibly important.
Though she didn't want to seem too opportunistic, she had little else to offer Qian Ran. This was her only way to win his favor.
If it pleased him, she was willing to do anything. She couldn't afford to let him grow dissatisfied with her.
Being with someone like Qian Ran… no matter what he asks of me, it can't be called a punishment, right? Nana thought to herself.
Despite knowing him for just one day, Qian Ran had already conquered her heart.
