Chapter 82 - Chapter 82: Teasing Fun

The man in the suit carried the guy with glasses on his back. Since they were originally heading over to help patch a flat tire, he took the lead without protest, fully aware of the situation.

Su Chen followed closely behind them, taking a deep breath.

After all, it was his first time wandering outside late at night—it was only natural to feel a little scared.

Along the way, the vibe between the man in the suit and the guy with glasses started to shift. They began to show concern for each other every now and then.

"Bro, are you tired? Maybe I should just walk the rest of the way myself."

"How could I let you walk?" the man in the suit replied warmly, without hesitation. "I'm really not tired at all. I can handle your weight just fine—don't worry."

"Wuwuwu, it's all my fault. I shouldn't have burdened you like this."

"Who said you're a burden? I really don't think that at all."

The two of them chatted animatedly, like a pair of newlyweds bickering sweetly, completely ignoring Su Chen walking behind them.

It was as if the world consisted of just the two of them.

If it were anyone else, they might've just pretended not to notice. But Su Chen? He wasn't "anyone else"—he never played by the rules.

He was practically the president of the Anti-Tsundere Association. He'd been eavesdropping on their conversation the entire time.

In fact, from the very first line they exchanged, Su Chen had been itching to tease them. He just held back, waiting for the perfect moment when they were about to wrap up their melodrama—and then struck.

It was a quiet night, with barely any ambient noise.

So their voices carried clearly. And Su Chen wasn't deaf—pretending not to hear was simply not his style.

Now it was his turn to stir the pot. He'd been waiting for this moment for a while.

"Hey, you with the glasses—can you not speak in that fake, squeaky voice?"

"Can't you talk like a normal person?"

The guy with glasses instantly turned red with embarrassment. He hadn't thought much of it before, but now his face was burning, and he wanted to crawl into a hole.

The man in the suit tried to suppress a laugh.

Su Chen might be a total straight-shooter, but when he speaks, it really hits the mark.

In real life, it's not uncommon for some girls to change their tone slightly when talking to someone they like. Most people don't notice, or just pretend not to.

Some girls do it so obviously that it feels unnatural—what people would call "putting on an act." But no one calls them out on it.

Except Su Chen.

He was basically the number one anti-green-tea crusader—always ready to roast anyone acting phony.

Even the man in the suit wasn't safe. Su Chen got him with a jab too.

Su Chen walked up and patted him on the shoulder.

"Hey, don't you think some guys are just ridiculously cringey? All that fake bravado, pretending they're some kind of overbearing CEO."

The man in the suit laughed loudly at first, but a second later, something clicked.

Wait a sec…

Wasn't that jab aimed directly at me?!

Even though he realized it, he couldn't get mad—he was playing the role of a warm-hearted guy carrying his injured "brother" back to the RV. Throwing a tantrum now would ruin the vibe.

If he argued with Su Chen, the guy with glasses might think he was petty, and that would completely backfire.

"Exactly. I don't like those wannabe alpha types either. I prefer being down-to-earth—just doing what I want."

The man in the suit chose to stay in character.

Compared to the guy with glasses, he came off as far more composed. They were clearly not in the same league.

Instead of losing his cool at Su Chen's provocation, he casually deflected it and even turned it into banter between friends—making it sound perfectly normal.

Su Chen wasn't into any particular hobbies, but what he loved most was watching people who act pretentious crumble.

That said, these two were actually pretty alright.

They were still on their way back to the RV, and the walk was starting to feel a bit dull.

The two up ahead kept chatting away, completely ignoring Su Chen, which made him feel a little left out.

But the way they interacted really made Su Chen want to poke fun at them.

Especially the man in the suit—he didn't seem so full of himself back when they were all in Su Chen's RV. Now his true colors were showing.

Their behavior was just plain odd. The guy with glasses kept gently wiping the sweat off the man in the suit's face, touching him with soft hands—like a doting wife.

No wonder Su Chen felt something was off.

Could they actually be a couple? Maybe they just called each other friends to keep their relationship under wraps.

It was just a guess, based on what Su Chen saw with his own eyes.

"So... you two sleep in the same bed every night and nothing ever happens?"

Even Su Chen didn't expect himself to say something like that.

He wasn't the gossipy type at all.

When it came to "passion between men," he only knew the surface-level stuff. He had never seen anything like this in real life.

But now he was witnessing a truly spicy scene—and totally by accident.

The man in the suit was starting to realize it, too. He might actually like the guy with glasses—but he was too embarrassed to say it out loud.

If it hadn't been for all this, he might never have faced his true feelings.

Up till now, he'd been the definition of a straight guy. Back then, when girls around him were obsessed with BL novels, he never got it. How could that count as romance?

He always dated women.

The guy with glasses, on the other hand, had always been clueless and single. No wonder he never felt anything for girls.

Could it be... he actually liked men?

Su Chen's offhand remark might just be the catalyst that helped them both figure out how they truly felt.

Now all that was left was for someone to make a proper confession.

Su Chen, of course, lived for this kind of drama. The fact that the two of them were so deep in their conversation they forgot about him—that pretty much confirmed something was going on.

The road back was long and boring. Might as well have some fun along the way.

Playing matchmaker was entertaining in its own right. Besides, couples were a rare sight in this world.

Most people were either alone or banded together in small groups.

Most of the people Su Chen had encountered were solo wanderers or groups of thugs.

"You two really seem like a married couple," he blurted out again, another bold statement.

This time, the guy with glasses fired back.

"So you're saying one of us is the wife, huh? Well, then—who do you think it is? It's gotta be him, right?"

He didn't deny it. Instead, he shifted the topic.

Which kind of confirmed—he really was into him.
