Li Xiang didn't even go for lunch.

After a quick trip to the Pokémon Center to get Rotom treated, he headed straight back to his dorm.

The shiny Metang wasn't actually kept at the training camp. Instead, it was being raised by professional breeders, undergoing systematic training and care.

Of course, this wouldn't affect Li Xiang's ability to bond with it. Like all Pokémon raised in breeding facilities, it had simply been taught basic knowledge and discipline.

In short, the shiny Metang had been living the good life—well-fed and well-cared for.

If he made the exchange now, it would take at most two hours for the Metang to be delivered to him.

Excited, he pushed open the dorm door. Song Jie wasn't inside—probably out eating.

Li Xiang turned on his computer and took a few deep breaths to calm himself.

In the past, he would've been so nervous his heart might've leaped out of his chest, but ever since making progress with the Three-Blind Perception Technique, he'd become much more composed.

Even when he wasn't, he could quickly regain his calm through self-regulation.

After confirming his current balance of 9,100+ points in the exchange system, he first navigated to the transfer section and evenly distributed 2,500 points among Song Jie and the other four.

He called them to confirm the transaction and ignored whatever they said in response.

Next, he switched to the Pokémon section and found the shiny Metang he'd been longing for.

He remembered checking four months ago—back then, it had been Level 27.

Now, it was Level 31, growing at a rate of one level per month, rivaling the speed of a top trainer-raised Pokémon.

It had also learned more moves than before. Clearly, the camp took the training of shiny Pokémon very seriously.

Li Xiang scrolled through its profile, then pulled up the exchange option at the bottom.

No hesitation.

Click!

A confirmation screen popped up, displaying his contact details and estimated delivery time.

This was a door-to-door delivery service. At the very bottom of the window, his point balance dropped to just 600+ PP.

At least he wasn't completely broke—he'd left himself a small buffer.

Sure, his rank had dropped from A-Class to B-Class, but that didn't matter. Climbing back up was just a matter of time.

Li Xiang stood up silently and flopped onto his bed, staring at the blank white ceiling. A strange exhaustion washed over him.

After four months of effort, he'd finally done it. Now, he could finally relax and enjoy the camp's facilities. Incineroar and the others would likely grow even faster from here on out.

As he drifted into a daze, he heard the door open, followed by some muffled chatter that quickly faded. Then, he felt something being draped over him before he completely succumbed to sleep.

...…

When Li Xiang woke up, he found himself covered in a soft, tri-colored blanket—black, orange, and red.

Sunlight still streamed in through the window, brightening the room. Faint chirping echoed in his ears.

"You're awake? Your Metang's here."

Song Jie, sitting on his bed reading a book, glanced up and pointed at the desk.

"Oh. How long was I out?"

Li Xiang rubbed his stiff face as he got up.

"Two and a half hours."

Song Jie checked his watch. "Zhong Qizhi came looking for you but left when he saw you sleeping."

Li Xiang washed his face in the bathroom before asking, "What did he want?"

"He's worried Qingcheng might try to poach you."

The white-haired boy set his book down. "Turns out, their earlier approach was unauthorized—they acted on their own."

'Wait, seriously?'

Li Xiang blinked. He'd assumed the camp had approved it.

"Huh. So that's how it is. Wait—why is the box so big?"

He walked over to the desk, staring at the massive cardboard package.

He'd expected a small case—just big enough for a PokéBall. Why such a huge container?

When he lifted it, he was surprised by its weight.

'Were there bonus items included with the shiny Metang? Pokémon food? Berries?'

With rising anticipation, Li Xiang opened the box.

The first thing he saw was a small glass case containing a Cherish Ball—fully crimson with bold black stripes.

'An official distribution Ball?'

Li Xiang raised an eyebrow. 'So the generic PokéBall icon on the website was just a placeholder.'

His gaze shifted to the side, where instead of rare berries or Pokémon food, there were thick books and three thumb-sized USB drives.

'What's this?'

Setting the glass case aside, Li Xiang picked up one of the plain-covered books and flipped it open.

The first page had a handwritten title in neat black calligraphy, followed by a flamboyant signature: [The Art of Raising Metagross] — By Xiu Min

"Xiu Min…"

Li Xiang's breath hitched.

That name belonged to one of the former Elite Four of the Zhu Xia region—a now 66-year-old Steel-type Master Trainer.

'A handwritten guide on raising Metagross by an ex-Champion-level trainer?!'

This was insane!

Li Xiang sucked in a sharp breath and quickly set the book down, grabbing the others.

[Essentials of Steel-Type Pokémon] — Xiu Min

[My Metagross' Journey to Power] — Xiu Min

[Complete Analysis of Steel-Type Moves] — Xiu Min

[Key Points of Psychic Abilities] — Cheng Xin

[The Dangers of Mental Force] — Cheng Xin

[Complete Analysis of Psychic-Type Moves] — Cheng Xin

[Mind Games] — Cheng Xin

And finally, the thickest of them all: [From Zero to Metagross: A Step-by-Step Guide]

No author listed, but this one was by far the most detailed.

Li Xiang spread the books out, confirming that every single page was handwritten.

His 6,000 points had been worth it—no, this was worth far more. These weren't just unpublished manuscripts—they were priceless heirlooms.

'A Champion's personal training notes! This stuff has to be worth millions, at least!'

"Wow. I somewhat expected something like this, but personal handwritten content? That's a surprise."

Song Jie flipped through one casually before glancing over. "You didn't just spend 6,000 points—this feels like 60,000."

"That's what I'm thinking…"

Li Xiang swallowed hard. The sheer scale of this windfall left him momentarily stunned. But soon, his attention turned to the three USB drives. His instincts told him there was something even bigger inside.

Suppressing his excitement, he plugged one into his computer.

A window popped up, revealing dozens of video files.

The footage featured either Metagross or other Steel/Psychic-type Pokémon, often with Xiu Min or Cheng Xin—the two Champion tier trainers—standing beside them.

Personal training videos from a Champion!

Detailed, step-by-step tutorials—almost like having them teach him in person!

There were even high-quality battle recordings. From move practice to basic strategies and advanced tactics—everything was covered!

"Heh… This package is really tempting. Makes me want to get one too."

Song Jie narrowed his eyes. First, handwritten guides from a Champion, now in-depth video lessons?

The only thing missing was the Champions themselves appearing to teach Li Xiang directly.

This was beyond excessive.

"Honestly, I feel like these might be more valuable than the shiny Metang itself."

Li Xiang sounded almost dazed.

"Pretty much. Though if they'd thrown in a couple of live training sessions, it'd be a fair trade."

Song Jie nodded. "But that's just my opinion. Others might value the knowledge more—after all, it's priceless."

These handwritten books and training videos could save a trainer years of trial and error, offering deep insights into raising Steel and Psychic-types. They might even help someone forge their own path.

Compared to figuring things out alone, this was an unimaginable advantage.

"Buy one! Get a Rock-type! This is a rare opportunity!"

Li Xiang turned to Song Jie. "Pick one that costs fewer points!"

Song Jie could borrow Li Xiang's Steel-type resources, but Rock-types were a different story.

He should definitely grab one. At the same time, Li Xiang wondered if he should also get Fire and Dark-type guides…

"No."

Song Jie shook his head, holding up an envelope. "Read this first."

'A letter?'

Li Xiang took it, spotting elegant handwriting with his name on it.

The sender?

Nan Gongmeng.

'The Fairy-type Elite?'

Puzzled, he opened the letter and silently scanned its contents.

Five minutes later, Li Xiang's expression turned complicated as he crumpled the paper and flushed it down the toilet. Turns out, even after nearly a year, the Fairy Elite still remembered him—and had sent him this incredible gift.

Yes.

The books and videos weren't part of the 6,000-point exchange. They were Nan Gongmeng's personal gift to him.

In the letter, she first apologized for the past incident, then explained how difficult it had been to obtain these materials. They were true handwritten copies—even if some were transcribed by Pokémon or psychic powers, they were still originals.

And the signatures?

100% authentic.

Li Xiang's only thought?

'More. Give me more! This isn't enough!'

'If you're going this far, throw in Fire and Dark-type guides too! Or at least Fairy-type!'

…Okay, maybe he was getting greedy. But when it came to training knowledge, there was no such thing as too much.

"Called it?"

Song Jie studied Li Xiang's expression.

"Yeah. Not a bonus—a personal gift. What a shame."

"Not really."

Song Jie clicked through Li Xiang's exchange interface. "Your catalog seems… different from ours."

"Different how? Wait—"

Li Xiang stared at the screen, where multiple books titled "[Type] Mastery Guides" were now listed.

"I didn't see these two days ago. When did they appear?"

"Probably today."

Song Jie gave him a look. "Remember what I said? Priority Training Status."

So that was the perk of being a high-priority trainee?

Not bad!

Although… the prices were brutal.

Li Xiang's face twisted as he saw the books starting at 500 points each.

This was daylight robbery.
