This was a voice Dal had never heard before.
Everyone exchanged glances, and despite the situation, they didn't seem too surprised. After all, this was the Sain Dungeon; nothing was surprising here.
It's just an old man's voice asking if you want the Ember King's power, not something to be shocked about.
If an old man suddenly emerged from someone's body, bloody and asking questions, perhaps then there would be some emotional reaction.
According to the Dungeon Exploration Handbook written by the Skyrim Strategy Group, the first thing to say when encountering an unknown but seemingly communicative entity should always be—
