When the dragon egg finally hatches, the baby dragon inside must break the eggshell. If the parent is nearby, they often help by gently tapping on the eggshell.
"Don't help; let her do it herself." Leon intended to lend a claw, but Tassera stopped him.
Once the baby dragon starts trying to leave the egg, the process usually takes no more than a minute or two.
As Leon and Tassera chatted, a faint scratching noise came from inside the eggshell, followed by a crack. A small claw poked through the shell, gently pried it apart, creating an opening, and then a curious eye peeped out.
