The return journey felt much faster. By the time they reached the surface, Dao Meihua and the teammates had already treated Dai Wang's external injuries.
"We didn't dare touch his leg; it's still in the simple bandaged and fixed state you did before."
The fracture in the ankle has already been set. It's currently wrapped in bandages and splints, but will need plaster for proper fixation later.
"Contact the outside immediately to have them come and take Dai Wang away."
"I just tried, but the satellite phone doesn't work here. We'll need to go up a bit further and try again. You guys figure out how to get him to the campsite first; I'll go find a spot to make the call."
Once outside, it was easier. They made a simple stretcher to carry Dai Wang back first.
By around five in the afternoon, the rescuers found them with the guidance of the Big White Monkey and Dao Meihua.
