"But isn't it a bit excessive to send a king as an envoy?"
Richard looked at Wild Wind, slightly raising an eyebrow: "You think I'm a king?"
Wild Wind's voice was hoarse with a touch of depth.
"You are already the uncrowned king of this Alliance, and if the war ends naturally, there are only two paths for you: death or becoming a king.
I don't think you will die."
"I hope what you say is true." Richard laughed easily, "But you got one thing wrong, I seek power not for power itself, but to eliminate that monster.
If that monster disappears, power means...nothing important to me."
"Not important doesn't mean it would be abandoned." Wild Wind spoke calmly, "Some things are better to have than not. If you intend to leave everything behind and travel the Endless Dimension, or other World Communities, it's best to find a successor...that's a lesson taught by our history."
