First, we need to remove non-essential equipment to reduce weight. Additionally, modifications should be made to the main mounting points under the wings to make them suitable for carrying auxiliary fuel tanks.
Because of the adoption of variable swept wings with stepless control, the "War-9" only has one heavy-duty mounting point on the underside of the fixed inner section, which is a composite mounting point usually used for one long-range air-to-air missile and two combat missiles, and can also carry bombs when necessary.
However, this mounting point does not have a fuel transfer interface installed.
The main issue is that beneath the air intakes, there is one dedicated auxiliary fuel tank mounting point on each side, capable of carrying large 2200-liter auxiliary fuel tanks.
Fortunately, the "War-9" uses an integrated wing box fuel tank, and the fuel pipes connecting the wing tanks pass above the wing mounting points.
