As he uttered those words, a breeze arose, and a few snowflakes fell from the treetops.
"Dubian, come over here," called Jiutiao Meijie's voice, carried by the wind.
"Meijie, let me explain."
"Shut up and stand still."
Jiutiao Meijie got out of the car, bent down, and with gloved hands scooped up some snow, shaping it into a ball as she walked over.
"No matter how hard I throw, it won't hurt you, you smooth talker." With that, she smacked the snowball onto Dubian Che's forehead with a 'thwack.'
The soft snowball instantly fell apart.
Most of it dropped to the ground, some clung to Dubian Che's bangs, and a bit landed on his nose and lips.
Dubian Che spat twice, trying to get the snow out of his mouth: "Meijie, you've got me wrong. It's not just Kiyono, I wouldn't hurt anyone."
"What are you implying? Mocking me?" Jiutiao Meijie grabbed another handful of snow.
"No... I... wait a minute..."
Jiutiao Meijie threw the snowball with a raise of her hand.
