Before the middle-aged elder could finish speaking, several cars came racing over.
The cars halted not far in front of the team, and a person stepped out—it was Wang Zhenggang of the Guardian Group.
"Old leader."
Wang Zhenggang felt a bit complex, because he had his men scouring the entire base, yet couldn't find the person they were searching for, as if the person had vanished into thin air.
But the signal was clearly within the base.
Yet, the person was nowhere to be found.
"Leader?"
Zhang Tao heard this and his face darkened. This middle-aged elder was of no low status, crucially, he recognized the soldiers getting out of the cars—they were the ones who captured them outside.
"Couldn't find the person?"
The middle-aged elder turned his head towards Wang Zhenggang.
"Yes!"
Wang Zhenggang, being straightforward by nature, wouldn't lie, and facts speak louder than words. He had boasted, but now that the person wasn't found, there was nothing more to say.
