The ringing of the telephone disrupted the conversation between the Mayor and Lawyer Ossen. He glanced at the phone and picked it up—it was a call to his private number, so it had to be about something important.
"This is Sidney."
"It's me, Dale. I've got some important intel. There are hundreds of thousands worth of liquor stored in one of the warehouses at the docks."
The Mayor helped him rephrase, "Smuggled liquor."
Director Dale immediately understood, "Yes, smuggled liquor. Do you think we should move on this batch of liquor?"
The Mayor thought for a moment, "Why not?"
"Isn't this the very opportunity we've been looking for?"
"Hit them hard, let them know this isn't their Golden Port City, this is the Federation's Golden Port City!"
"Wait for my call. Before we make another move, we also need to be prepared."
