"What's wrong?"
Anning whispered to Mr. Jiang, "How do I ask my sister about it? Please tell me."
Mr. Jiang got noticeably upset when the subject came up.
He pointed to the room where An Nan was, "That damned girl of yours is almost driving us to death."
Mrs. Jiang brought out some reheated food for Anning to eat.
As she sat with Anning, who was eating, she spoke, "It's all because of your sister and Wei Jiaming, you know? How could we have been so foolish, not to ask around before? Today, a group of people came to eat at your dad's restaurant, and your dad happened to be there. He overheard them talking about where they used to live, and realized they were neighbors before the Wei Family's relocation. So he paid special attention, brought over a glass of wine, saying he wanted to see how everyone liked the food, and ended up chatting with them. And just like that, he uncovered the issue."
Anning listened as Mrs. Jiang rambled on.
She realized something was definitely up.
