"Did you realize that you can't live without me?"
Xia Yinian didn't expect her expression to be captured by Uncle.
"How egotistical!" She glanced at him and then turned back to look out the window.
"Am I really egotistical? Why do I feel like someone is saying one thing and meaning another." Gu Beicheng's voice rang in Xia Yinian's ears.
Xia Yinian leaned further towards the window to keep away from the man.
"So when will you start being busy?" The girl coughed lightly and asked.
"I'll send you back home, and then I have to go out for a bit. You need to take care of yourself," the man said softly.
She wanted to look back at him but didn't dare to. Uncle treated her so well, she truly felt she was becoming reliant on him.
Although she often had a bit of a guilty conscience, she felt a sense of loss when he said he had to go out.
"Oh," Xia Yinian nodded offhandedly.
"If you miss me, you can call me." Gu Beicheng leaned closer, still with a smile at the corner of his mouth.
