"But, I've always had my brain since the beginning?" Ryuk mused, perplexed, until she spoke.
"You were born with something only the purest of us Knulls possess," Eravel said, stretching her hands out.
"It's called a Logic Core, an upper layer of intelligence even the brain cannot possibly imagine," she said.
"And you're just gonna hand that to me?" he asked, halting his hand.
"Knull bestowed upon me your Logic Core, but... it was never mine to begin with."
"What isn't mine isn't something worth fighting for. Especially not to the one it logically belongs to," she responded, holding his hands and passing the core into his palms.
He turned to her, and his eyes shook as he saw it, silver droplets rolling from her eyes.
"But... but why?"
He asked, only to feel her embrace, her hands wrapping around him tightly as she buried her face on his shoulder, the tears raining down upon him.
"It was never meant to end like this..."
