(Drakken's POV)
I sat down on the table, looking at the lock of hair, "Hm...." I said, "I will go and see you today, my dear....."
"Drakken...." I heard Maegelle say
I looked over to see her slowly getting out of bed, "What is it?"
"You didn't have to go that rough..." She said as she was sweating, "You know I don't like it."
"I can't help it, dear. You just feel too good." I gave her a slight smirk
She frowned, "I'm not Saera, go easy on me....." She said, "I know I can handle your lust at times, but that doesn't excuse-"
"Come here." I reached my hand out
She walked over and took my hand. I pulled her in and sat her on my lap, leaning in and smelling her neck. Despite the scent of her sweat, she smelled good. In fact, my perverted mind would think of her sweat as being one of the reasons she smelled good.
I don't know exactly what it was about this woman that made me this.....aroused. I had no clue. It simply was the fact.
"The truth of the matter is..." I said, "I had my children for two reasons. The first is because I felt like it.....because I wanted to see how beautiful our children would be, mine and yours. White hair....red eyes...at least that is what I had hoped for. Your blood fought against mine so hard that they have a purple eye each...."
She looked at me, "Drakken...." She said softly, "What is the second?"
"War." I said seriously, "Only those with my blood can dominate this world. I can do it by myself, but that won't be exciting, would it? I am the God of War. While I can fight in my own wars, destroy armies and take cities on a whim, where's the fun in that? A God of War has his own followers praying for him, relying on him to win wars. Wars are waged in his name and they destroy the enemy for him. I want heralds of my War.....I wanted heralds of my Death. I wanted.....my Children, my blood, to be the ones to conquer everything and destroy anyone who dare oppose them. I am not from this world, Maegelle....it is only right that natives of this world would do just that, so long as they have my blood."
She looked at me, "Their entire purpose is to be instruments of War?" She asked softly, "I don't know if I agree with that."
"Yes...and No...." I said with a smile, "It is a contradictory mentality. Their purpose is just for that....but whatever they want to do, they are free to do so. They are my children, they can do whatever they want, save for a few things obviously. If Maelor wishes to be a musician and not touch a blade or shed blood, so be it. He will be a Poet, a singer, one who will grace the realm with his talents. If Vaella wishes to follow in your footsteps, she can do so. All of my children have the freedom to do whatever they want, so long as they follow the Tenets. So long as they follow the ironclad rules we place. But Riktor and Sylas.....I am afraid they are not that fortunate."
I raised the lock of hair and showed it to her. She took it into her hand and examined it.
"You want them to be what they are meant to...." She said, "Your generals. Your Warriors."
I embraced her and kissed her shoulder, "They are my sons." I told her, "They are meant for this. They are meant for war. They were born for it. Look at Sylas, already using his bright mind to create weapons. I am eager to see what else he will come up with. And Riktor.....all this pent up....energy....I want him to release it in War, for him to forge himself into the weapon he wants to be. Riktor doesn't want to be this lecherous buffoon that is distracted by the pleasures of a woman's body. No, that is merely a distraction. That is merely his hormones speaking. He cannot help it, he is me after all. Riktor wants to be a powerful Knight, feared and respected by all. And that is what will happen."
She looked at me, "And Astorias?" She asked, "Maekar? Nymeria? What of Viktoria?"
"I told you. They can do whatever they want." I said, "I accept them. They are mine. I will care for them, always."
"I want to see Nymeria." She said, "She needs to be with her family."
"My daughter's fate requires her to be in Dorne. We can go and see her, of course." I told her, "I want her here as well. But Tyene, my beautiful muse, wants to keep her there."
"It's not right...." Maegelle said softly, "She needs her family...she is estranged."
"Don't worry." I told her, "She will one day be united with her siblings."
"That better be the case." She gave me the lock of hair, "And what do you plan on doing with this hair?"
"Don't worry." I said as I kissed her cheek, "I will be busy for a bit, be sure to tell Astorias not to look for me."
"Fine...." she said as she stood up, "I will....."
I grabbed her hand, "Maegelle...." I said as I kissed it, "My beautiful wife.....I am glad I married you...."
She frowned, "Well..." She said with a sad tone, "Is that what you tell yourself? To distract you from the fact that you are not in Infernis?"
"Hm..." I rubbed her hand with my thumb, "Maybe that's the case."
She reached for my cheek, "You have a family here now." she said softly, "I do often think of what you left behind there....but you have a family here.....you have children who adore you....you have wives who....who love you....I love you. I love you so much...."
"I know." I said
"Do you?" She said softly as a tear formed in her eye, "Do you know that? Because....what would happen....if..."
"You just decided to leave?"
