"Heh!"
A low chuckle bubbled up from Xu Jiayan's throat.
The girl was putting on quite a convincing act; if she hadn't clung to him asking him to sing, he would have almost believed her.
Jiang Yuan couldn't help but feel her cheeks start to burn.
She decided to feign death with her eyes closed – as long as she refused to admit it, she could pass for having been drunk!
Xu Jiayan's voice rose above her head, "Do you know? A drunk person usually won't admit that they're drunk."
Jiang Yuan's eyelids twitched, and she mumbled in response, "Maybe I'm different from others."
"Then, Miss Jiang Yuan, who's drunk, can you go to sleep now?"
"Hmm! I'm asleep," Jiang Yuan nodded rapidly with closed eyes, daring not to make any more trouble.
Feeling the person beside her sit up and wait until the footsteps receded did Jiang Yuan cautiously open an eye, touched her rapidly beating heart, and let out a soft sigh of relief.
