"There's no guarantee in this," Mills said reluctantly. He was still afraid of being deceived.
"You have even less assurance remaining here. Humans are endlessly cunning. Do you know how the mercenaries from Delisha City captured the Beastman? It's because they devised equipment to pinpoint the Beastman's presence. If they can locate a Beastman, who's to say they can't develop something to locate a goblin?" Victor hoped to settle the matter once and for all, for with every passing moment, there was increased potential for further complications.
Mills watched as Victor tackled and dismissed his concerns one by one and came to view Victor's abilities in a new light.
The discussion had reached this point.
And so, it was time... to take a chance!
"I will go back and call our people. Is it acceptable for you to wait here for me?" Mills spoke up.
Victor was taken aback by the question, "Just the two of us?"
"Yes," Mills said emphatically.
