Author's Note (by Anonymous):
Hey guys, it's Anonymous here again! 😎
So, quick update — my friend Sky will be back for the next chapter upload!
And… a small reveal for you all. Yeah, I know he's gonna beat the crap out of me for saying this, but you know what? I can take it (probably 👀). *Whisper* "Please pray a little that he lets me live, alright?"
Anyway — the next chapter actually marks the End of the Current Volume! But don't worry, I somehow managed to convince him to write one extra chapter, something we both cooked up together. You guys are gonna love it, trust me. 😉 (I hope)
Also, I noticed something… other than the Straw Hats 62 bro and Sky himself, there haven't been many Power Stones given frequently! I know it sounds like begging, but come on, guys — show him some love! Drop a few Power Stones, leave a comment, or write a quick review. You have no idea how much effort and time my bro puts into this story to make it what it is.
He never asks for this stuff himself — even the author note at the end of each chapter only exists because I told him to. Otherwise, he'd just laugh it off and move on. But this time, I'm asking for him. You'll see his why I'm telling this in the next chapter, I promise.
Well, I'll stop annoying you guys now — that's all from me for the moment! Hope you enjoyed the chapter, and keep supporting our crazy little project.
Adios! ✌️

Lucy's voice rang out through the clearing.
"Elephant Gun!"
A massive air-fist blasted forward, tearing through the clearing in a thunderous rush.
Selina reacted instantly. Lifting her free hand, wind surged around her arm, twisting into a swirling barrier that shimmered before her to block Lucy's attack. For a brief moment, it held—but Selina could feel her control slipping.
"Tch—!" She hissed and cut the flow, seeing no other option. Using the lingering wind, she blasted herself backward just as the barrier collapsed. The shockwave tore past the spot where she had stood moments ago.
Dust and leaves whipped through the clearing as she landed lightly, staff in hand, wind still swirling restlessly around her.
The others watched their spar from the sidelines. It had been a few days since the cliff incident—and just like Ash suggested, they had spent that time getting used to their new powers before going after the Sea King.
Both girls now faced each other, lightly panting.
Ash stepped forward. "Alright, girls, that's enough for now."
He looked to Lucy first. "You've improved a lot. But your Armament struggles a bit when you enter Gear Three—try syncing your haki timing better. Still, good job using creative combos. Keep thinking like that. Maybe start mixing misdirection—like shifting from a normal attack into Gear 2 or 3 mid-strike. Catch them off guard."
Lucy's eyes lit up. "That's a great idea, Ash! I'll train on that!"
Then he turned to Selena. "You're getting better at transforming your limbs. Your reflexes are faster, and your staff work is improving. The way you handle it—it's starting to look natural. But you're not holding your transformed form for long. Focus on that first."
She nodded.
"For now, hold off on trying to control wind. You're dealing with an element—that's not something you master in a couple of days. So, stick to your physical adjustments first. Learn your body, learn your limits. Wind control will come naturally once the rest settles."
Selena nodded again. "Yeah. Got it, Ash."
Ash turned to Ace and Nojiko, who had just landed nearby after finishing their flight drills.
"Ace, Nojiko—you both are getting the hang of flying with those wings. That's good."
Then his focus shifted to Ace. "But Ace, stop testing your light beams for now. Focus on that sense you mentioned—how you feel things where light touches. It seems similar to how Observation Haki works. Luckily, we're in a mountain full of wildlife. You can sharpen that skill while we train."
He paused, then added, "Also—about your healing skill. Starting today, all of us will stop taking healing potions after training. You're going to heal us. You already know how to heal yourself easily, but now you'll learn to heal others too."
Ace nodded, understanding what he meant.
Ash turned to Nojiko next. "Other than having wings your power are more physical. Also, you need to start adjusting your strength during fights. That goes for all of us. After eating our Devil Fruits, none of us know our full limits. So, we'll all train together to control that power better."
Nojiko nodded, listening quietly.
Ash continued, "Also, you mentioned that when you held my sword earlier—even though you've never practiced with one—you felt like you could use it instinctively. That's probably your fruit's influence. So, from today, you'll spend at least an hour trying different weapons of ours. Let's see how far that instinct can go."
Ash turned to Nami next. "Okay, Nami now you." She straightened up, a little eager.
He folded his arms. "I've noticed something. You're focusing too much on trying to get out those wings. I get it—they're cool. But right now, I think you're missing what's right in front of you."
Nami tilted her head.
"You've already gotten good at using your speed. But instead of just trying to run faster and faster, why not learn how to use that speed better? You told us that when you first ate the fruit, the world slowed down for a second, right?"
She nodded slowly.
Ash continued, "So instead of chasing after wings or top speed, try standing still. See how much you can perceive while staying calm. Train your eyes and brain to process things at high speed—not just your legs."
She blinked, thoughtful now.
"And one more thing—your stamina. I noticed when you dash around, you burn through energy fast. You can't fight like that all the time. You've got to balance your stamina with your speed. Control matters more than raw bursts."
Ash nodded toward Nami. "I mean—think of it like when we first learned Soru. You had to balance your stamina, not overuse it and burn out too fast. Same goes for this. Apply that strategy to your speed, got it?"
Nami gave a small nod, lips pressed in thought.
Ash turned to address the group. "Girls, we've all got the basics down—how to manage our strength, stamina, reflexes—even before eating our Devil Fruits. So don't treat your fruit powers as something completely separate. They're part of you now. And like anything else, we've still got to train and improve. Myself included."
He rubbed the back of his neck. "I've noticed during sparring… sometimes I lose focus. Go a bit too brutal for a second. You've all seen it, right?"
The girls nodded silently. They too had noticed.
"I think it's part of my fruit's nature—more likely Ares himself. I've got a rough idea of what it might be… I'll let you know once, I'm sure."
He smiled faintly. "So yeah—even I've got things to work on."
Then he turned toward Uta, his tone softening. "Uta… Babe, I'm sorry for delaying your elixir. I know you've been waiting."
Uta smiled and shook her head. "It's fine, Ash. Honestly, it's been fun helping you all train. I get it—you're trying to adjust before going after the Sea King. I can wait."
Nami stepped in and pulled Uta into a warm hug. "Yeah. Once we've really got a grip on our powers, me and Nojiko will also help take down that Sea King—before we return to the village. Promise."
Uta hugged her back, smiling brighter. "I can't wait."
And just like that… a few more days passed.
Now, all of them stood gathered at the shore, near the base of Mt. Colubo—ready at last to face the Sea King.
Ash took out their boat from his inventory with a flash, setting it gently into the shallow tide. He turned to the others.
"Alright, girls. As planned—Uta, Selena, you're with me on the boat. Nojiko, Ace—you two better take to the air now, and don't forget to take Lucy with you. You three will support us from above."
Lucy jumped up, fists raised. "Yosh! I can't wait to fly again!"
Ace laughed. "Sure, Ash. Nojiko, let's take this idiot up there and get in position."
Nojiko chuckled and nodded.
With a flap of their wings, Ace and Nojiko soared upward, each grabbing one of Lucy's hands. Lucy squealed with excitement as they ascended. Once high enough, she flipped into a perfect backflip mid-air, landing in a crouch—one foot balanced on each of their backs, just like they'd practiced.
Ash smiled. "Nami—take this." He tossed her a telescope from his inventory.
"I don't think I need to explain your role. Time to test that new power of yours."
Nami caught it cleanly and nodded. "Leave it to me."
She shot into the trees using Geppo, vanishing toward higher ground.
Ash turned to Uta and Selena. "Alright, let's go."
He pushed the boat forward as they boarded. Uta and Selena sat at the bow, fishing rods in hand, bait already set. They kept it casual—but their eyes were sharp.
Above them, Ace, Nojiko, and Lucy hovered like hawks, scanning the sea.
They waited.
And then—
Nami's voice echoed into their ears through her new Messenger skill.
"Guys! I see movement—Ash, to your west! It's heading straight at you. Get ready!"
They all heard her voice as if she was right beside them. Nami had learned that her new ability allowed her to direct her voice toward anyone she thought of—but so far, it only worked one-way.
Ace's eyes narrowed. She turned to Lucy and Nojiko. "There! I see it!"
The water surged. A massive roar ripped through the air as the Lord of the Coast burst from the waves, jaws wide.
Ash, gripping the rudder, shouted, "Go!"
Uta first stepped forward and released a powerful, focused sound blast from her voice. It struck the Sea King's head dead-on, staggering it.
Nojiko dove from above, leaving Lucy riding on Ace's back.
Her kusarigama's chains spun with force, wrapped in Armament Haki. They lashed around the Sea King's body and jaw, binding it tightly.
The creature thrashed wildly—its jaw broke partially free.
Selena leapt from the boat. Her Nimbus Staff grew mid-air, and with a loud cry, she slammed it down onto the Sea King's skull like a hammer nearly making it knock out.
The beast howled in pain and became disorient. Nojiko yanked willing her chains tight again, locking its mouth shut once more.
"ASH! PULL FROM THAT SIDE!" she shouted, tossing the other end of the chain toward the boat.
Ash grabbed it firmly. Selena and Uta joined him, bracing and holding the restraint steady.
Then—
Lucy's voice rang out from above.
"Gear Third!"
A colossal shadow blanketed the coastline. Even the villagers at Foosha were left stunned—eyes wide—as a massive arm descended from the sky with a loud whooooshhh.
Makino, standing outside the bar with a tray, squinted at the sky. Her jaw dropped slightly.
"…Now what the heck are those kids up to this time?" she muttered, already bracing herself for their explanation.
"Titan Grip!!" Lucy's voice thundered again.
Her enormous hand came crashing down, wrapping tightly around the Sea King's chain-bound body. The seawater weakened her slightly—but she powered through it, thanks to her sea stone resistance training and subtle aerial support from Ace stabilizing her midair.
Down below, Ash, Uta, Nojiko, and Selena let go of their chains just in time.
With one powerful heave, Lucy let out a wild yell and dragged the Sea King clean out of the water—and flung its entire massive form slamming onto the shore near Mt. Colubo, sending up sprays of sand and seawater.
Ace flew her to the beach right after. Lucy leapt off Ace's back, landing with a thud—her gigantic hand still gripping the Sea King like a vise. Ace landed beside her, wings folding in, ready to assist.
Ash, watching from the boat, shouted, "Lucy! Hold it steady—just a few seconds!"
He turned to the others. "Selena, cover me! Uta—bring the boat back!"
As Uta took control, Ash and Selena vanished from the deck. A second later, they landed near the Sea King's body soon Nojiko too landed wings folding in.
Ash leapt up using Geppo, navigating the slick scales. He pulled out the glass-and-metal apparatus from his inventory.
CLICK.
The syringe snapped into place.
"Here goes." He jabbed it deep into the Sea King's flesh.
The vacuum activated with a hiss.
The Sea King growled, thrashing violently as it regained its bearings—its rage returning.
Selena didn't hesitate. She jumped forward and brought her Nimbus Staff crashing down on its head once more with full force.
At the same moment, Nami rocketed in using Geppo, her foot glowing faintly with Armament. "Sorry, big guy—no time for round two!" she shouted, landing a clean kick to its jaw.
Nojiko and Ace too followed right behind—one lashing with punch under its jaw another with a kick on top of its head at a time.
The beast reeled, head slamming into the dirt, eyes dazed again.
A few more seconds passed.
The container in Ash's hands filled to the brim with rich, crimson blood. He yanked the syringe free with a grin and leapt back. "It's done! Let it go!"
Lucy immediately released her hold. Nojiko recalled her kusarigama releasing the bindings completely.
Lucy grinned jumping in air, raising her now-inflated leg.
"Gear Third—Titan Kick!!"
With a mighty roar, she brought her massive leg down in a powerful side sweep—slamming her foot straight into the Sea King's body.
The blow echoed like a cannon shot.
The Sea King flew backward like a ragdoll and crashed into the sea, kicking up a wave that washed over the distant shoreline. It sank slowly, heavily stunned—but very much alive.
The team gathered on the beach.
Cheers erupted as they gathered high fiving for the well-executed plan and team work.
///
Back at their training site, everyone circled Ash as he held up the filled container.
Selena raised a brow. "That's more than just a liter we planned to take."
Ash grinned. "Yup. I took as much as I could."
Selena blinked. "Why?"
"Because, the Sea King might not fall for the bait every time. And this much will last a long time—5 liters. Between cooldowns and elixir use, that's more than enough for 5 people. It'll recover by then… to be used again."
He grinned. Lucy mirrored him, rubbing her hands together. Selena and the others just shook their heads at them.
Ash tapped the sealed device. "Besides, it'll stay fresh too. The storage function keeps the contents preserved."
Uta stepped forward, a flicker of hope in her eyes. "So...?"
Ash nodded. "Let's not waste time."
He summoned the golden key from his palm and turned it in the air. A portal shimmered open before them.
Without hesitation, they all stepped through—back to the entrance of NL-1.
Ash led the group into the Soul Catalyst chamber of NL-1. The lights came on automatically as they entered, though the apparatus itself remained dormant.
Without a word, Ash stepped toward the pedestal and willed the golden key back out from his body. Inserting it beside the screen, he turned it.
Click.
The chamber lit up. The huge cables—interwoven with optic-like blood-conducting fibers—began to pulse with a faint glow.
The pedestal screen activated instantly, flickering to life. The metallic ring above stirred, its twin arms flexing in preparation. A small pin extended silently from the side of the screen on the pedestal.
Ash glanced at Uta. "So, Uta—shall we start the process?"
Uta nodded, though her hands fidgeted slightly.
"Just a quick prick," Ash added gently.
Uta stepped forward. The moment her hand brushed the pin; it clicked softly and delivered a near-painless sting.
A faint beep followed as the pin retracted. The pedestal's sides lit up with a gentle pulse, the glow traveling outward through the thick cables and wires toward the central glass tube—like a bloodstream awakening.
"Good. The blood part's done," Ash said, stepping back.
One of the mechanical arms extended from above, reaching out toward him.
Ash handed over the five-liter container of Sea King blood he'd been holding. The arm grasped the sealed glass vessel with precision, its claws locking around the designated slot within the apparatus. The blood inside began to bubble, as if responding to the system's activation. Another wave of pulsing light travelled down the wires into the central chamber.
Finally, Ash reached into his inventory and withdrew the Devil Fruit they had chosen to sacrifice.
The second arm moved in response, claws extended.
Ash held out the fruit slowly—the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Hyena, taken from their first bounty target, Mad-Eye Rho.
The claw took it carefully and slotted it into the integration chamber—a clear glass compartment at the base of the main column. It slid shut with a mechanical clink.
Almost instantly, the apparatus began to shift.
The lights across the structure blinked in sequence. The internal chamber started filling with a pale glow, shifting gradually from clear to a swirling, ocean-blue hue.
A soft chime echoed, and the screen flashed:
[Soul Elixir Process Initiated](in an ancient script Ash and the girls couldn't read)
But just above the screen—and again on the outside door of the Soul Catalyst chamber—a readable timer appeared:
[6 Days, 23 Hours, 59 Minutes]
Uta stepped forward, eyes wide with awe. "So… that's it?"
Ash nodded, offering her a confident grin. "In a week, your own Soul Elixir will be ready."
She blinked—then squealed with joy, throwing her arms up in the air. The other girls immediately surrounded her, laughing and pulling her into a warm group hug.
Ash folded his arms, chuckling softly—until Uta dashed toward him and hugged him tightly too.
He gently patted her head. Then, stepping back, he looked at the others.
"Alright. Let's return later. For now, we should head back to the village. There's someone there who's probably ready to wring our necks."
The girls exchanged looks—immediately catching on to who he meant.
Ash smirked. "Let's not test her patience more than we already have."
After a Week...…...
A week passed in a flash.
Ash stood once again inside the Soul Catalyst Chamber with others even Nami and Nojiko are present to witness this moment, while the timer ticking down on the pedestal: 00:01:03... 00:01:02...
They'd had quite the week since the extraction process began. After leaving the chamber that day, they'd needed to handle Makino. Or rather—explain just enough.
Ash and the girls had played it safe, saying they just wanted to test how strong they'd gotten after their latest growth. Technically not a lie... just not the full truth.
Makino, clearly knew there was more going on. But to their relief, she didn't pry too deep. The surprise on her face was obvious—after all, every single one of them was now a Devil Fruit user. But she let it slide since no one was hurt and are safe.
After that, Nami and Nojiko had returned to their village.
Nojiko shared later that she'd arrived just in time. Her mimic copy, which had been staying in her room, had vanished seconds before she walked in. She simply stepped in like she'd never been gone—no one suspected a thing.
Ash also gave both girls a pair of plain-looking earrings—each embedded with a sea-stone gem he'd bought long ago from the system shop. One reason, to help them train resistance against sea-stone early. Two, to prevent any accidental Devil Fruit surges in front of Arlong or his men.
Not just Nami and Nojiko though and now Ash, Selena, and Ace joined in too, using the spare sea-stone shackles Ash had stocked in his inventory.
Ash could now understand why Lucy always complained back when she started. Wearing those things made it feel like your powers had been carved out of you—it was unnatural. Almost like forgetting how to move a limb you'd had your whole life.
Even after a full week of regular use, Ash still felt oddly fragile each time he trained with them on.
But none of them quit. They pushed on through it.
Not even the constant teasing from Lucy stopped the rest—especially when she brought up how weak they'd looked the first time. She'd been there herself once. Now it was her turn to gloat.
Ash's mind was still wandering through those days when Nami's voice snapped him back.
"Ohh! It's finished!" The timer hit 00:00:00 across the displays.
A soft hiss escaped the machine as the glass vial at the end of the pipe began to fill. Swirling colors danced inside—a mixture of soft pink-violet hues with shimmering traces of rainbow colors mixed in, forming a liquid that glowed faintly.
Once full, the machine powered down with a subtle thrum.
Ash stepped forward, carefully plucked the vial, and turned to Uta, handing it to her.
She reached out with both hands—nervous—as she accepted it. Her gaze swept across everyone.
Lucy grinned but showing some nervousness in her voice, "Come on, drink it, Uta!"
Uta gave a small smile, took a deep breath, and with one big gulp, downed the entire thing.
The effect was instant.
Her heart let out a loud thump—so loud, everyone heard as it echoed through the chamber like a drumbeat.
She dropped to one knee, gasping as her body began to shift. Sweat broke across her skin. Deep within her soul she felt, something stirred… changed.
Seconds passed. She stayed like that for a moment, breathing hard. Then slowly… she rose to her feet. Her wide eyes glimmered she felt as if something awakened deep within her.
"Whoa… I feel… different," she said, catching her breath. "Ash… do you think it worked?"
Ash gently took the empty vial from her hand, smiling, "Only one way to find out."
Uta reached into her inventory bag and pulled out her Devil Fruit—Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Divine Siren—and looked at all of them with nervousness.
Ash gave her a slow, reassuring nod. Because among all of them, she would be the first to test if the elixir truly worked by taking a second Devil Fruit. If it didn't… no one could predict what might happen.
Ash couldn't help but worry—without the constant support of Celeste in his mind, the weight of uncertainty felt heavier than usual.
Uta steeled herself. She took a deep breath and sank her teeth into the Devil Fruit.
To her surprise—like the others—it tasted sweet, tinged with a sour note, but not the rotten bitterness they'd always heard about.
As she finished it, a soft blue glow rose from her body. Her skin shimmered. Already beautiful, she now looked… otherworldly. Ethereal. As if her very presence pulled the room's attention by instinct.
Uta stood there, glowing faintly as the power settled within her. Her expression was a mix of curiosity and quiet relief—she had become the first among them to take a second Devil Fruit… and survived successfully.
As the glow faded, Nojiko stepped forward.
"Uta… are you okay? How do you feel?"
Uta looked around at the worried faces, then back at her hands. "Well… I'm alive. So that's something," she laughed nervously, trying to ease their worry. "Looks like the elixir worked. Nothing crazy happened, so… maybe it's fine?"
She tried to activate something—anything—but nothing happened.
Ash stepped closer and hugged her tightly, his heart still hammering from the tension. After a long moment, he pulled back, studying her carefully.
"I'm just glad it worked. I don't know what I would've done if something went wrong."
Uta hugged back with a small smile. "There's nothing to worry about. It's successful. That means you guys can now safely take the elixir and become multi–Devil Fruit users too."
Ash still trembled faintly, but didn't press the worry. "So… what did you get? Do you feel your new powers?"
Uta tilted her head. "Well, I'm trying. Like the rest of you, I feel stronger—but I don't know what else is in store yet."
Ash looked her over, top to bottom, before giving a teasing smirk—and a light blush. "Well, the fruit definitely gave you something, alright."
Uta blinked, "Huh?"
Uta tilted her head, confused—until she glanced down at herself.
Her shirt strained slightly at the chest. Her skin shimmered with an otherworldly softness and energy. She subtly checked her figure—now well-proportioned in all the right places—then simply muttered: "Oh."
Ash coughed, suddenly looking away. "You, uh… you look. Beautiful. More… radiant. Not that you weren't beautiful before. Even… much sexier," he mumbled the last word under his breath, cheeks flushed red.
Uta smirked, clearly hearing it, "So, you like the new me, huh?"
Ash stammered, still coughing. "W-Well, sure, sure. Whatever you say, babe."
Uta giggled at his flustered state.
Ash rubbed his neck and tried to regain composure. "W-Well the fruit gave its first power… Divine Siren traits. They're supposed to be irresistibly beautiful—used to lure sailors. And looks like I'll have to chase off every guy who comes sniffing around you now."
Uta laughed and lightly slapped his chest.
The others just stared at the two of them—surprised, maybe a little envious, but mostly relieved.
Selena finally stepped forward, "So, Uta? Feel anything else? Powers?"
Uta shook her head, "Nothing yet, other than… this." She gestured to herself with a chuckle. "I think I'll need help figuring the rest out."
Ace stepped up and clapped her gently on the back. "Then we've got your back."
"Me too." The rest of the group also joined with Ace—Selena, Lucy, Nojiko, and Nami.
They all gathered around and pulled Uta into a warm, shared hug.
Uta smiled brightly, her heart full. "Thanks, guys. I know you will."
Back at Makino's Bar:
Makino blinked as Uta entered with the group, surprised by her new appearance. Her skin had a gentle glow, her figure more refined and graceful. Something about her radiated a serene yet captivating energy — even the few customers present couldn't take their eyes off her.
Raising an eyebrow, Makino looked at Ash and the rest, clearly expecting an explanation.
Ash rubbed the back of his neck as they all settled around the bar table. He leaned in slightly and whispered with a sheepish grin, "Ah… well, Uta might've eaten a second Devil Fruit."
Makino's eyes widened. "I thought only one fruit could be eaten by a person. Isn't eating another supposed to..."
She trailed off, the implication heavy in the air.
Ash shrugged and smirked faintly. "We found a way on one of our travels. Let's just say... it worked out."
Makino narrowed her eyes but let it go. "You kids… Can't you ever do anything normally?"
"Being normal's overrated, Makino-san. Besides, we had Celeste's help — we couldn't have found it otherwise," Ash added, playfully tapping the bar.
Makino sighed but smiled. "Well, whatever you're getting yourselves into… just promise me you'll be careful. I can't stop you — but at least I can ask you to be safe, okay?"
Lucy beamed. "Don't worry, Makino! We're strong! I'll protect Ace!"
Ace reached over and bonked her on the head. "Idiot. That's not what she meant."
The group burst into laughter.
Makino turned to Uta with a knowing smile. "Looks like you're going to need a whole new wardrobe."
Uta chuckled. "Yeah, I think I need a lot more than just clothes now."
Makino nodded, folding her arms. "Then I suppose it's also time for some proper girl talk — hygiene, health, and... other things girls need to know as they grow."
Selena clapped her hands. "Looks like we're going shopping!"
The girls all cheered excitedly.
Ash, hearing this, immediately stood from his seat and began slowly edging toward the door, a nervous sweat forming. "Well, girls, you should enjoy the day then. I'll just—uh, see you all later."
As he tried to sneak off, all the girls turned to him with a spark in their eyes.
Uta and Nami grabbed one arm. "If you leave, who's going to help us pick what looks good?"
Ace and Selena caught the other arm. "Yeah — who's going to pay?"
Ash froze like a deer in headlights, hands pressed together in a dramatic prayer, cartoonish tears spilling from his eyes.
Makino followed behind them, laughing heartily as the girls dragged the poor boy out of the bar, all grinning and teasing while Ash muttered pitiful protests under his breath.
To be continued...
