Yveltal had no idea.
This was Ash's chance!
Kyurem's twin claws seized Yveltal's talons, the overwhelming strength of Dragon Claw locking it in place.
Yveltal thrashed, wings and claws unleashing a storm of furious strikes. Kyurem took the punishment, its body shaking under the relentless assault.
But in sheer physical endurance, Kyurem outclassed Yveltal by far!
It only had to withstand this onslaught for one moment—then it could deliver a crushing blow!

Energy gathered. A massive ice-blue sphere, crackling with electricity, enveloped both Kyurem and Yveltal!

Yveltal shrieked in agony, its wings glowing with raging dark energy.
It was preparing its ultimate move!
The battlefield froze solid as Kyurem unleashed Glaciate—this was Kyurem's domain!
But Yveltal roared defiantly, hurling out its exclusive move—Oblivion Wing!
The purple-black energy beam tore through the frozen world!
Crackling lightning wrapped around Kyurem's body, crossing into a blazing "X" of power—Fusion Bolt—and clashed with Oblivion Wing!
The collision detonated in midair! Kyurem's electrified body powered through, dragging the remnants of Yveltal's ultimate attack with it, and slammed directly into the Destruction Pokémon!
Yveltal's wings faltered. Its body lost strength, tumbling toward the ground!
Its scarlet eyes dimmed.
It was defeated.
Blizzard, Dragon Claw, Freeze Shock, Glaciate, Fusion Bolt—five devastating blows in succession!
Compared to Kyurem's sheer endurance, Yveltal couldn't hold up.
Kyurem dismissed its Black Form, panting heavily.
At that moment—

A massive wave of power surged through Kyurem!

Its dark golden eyes widened with shock and joy as energy exploded within it.
That force… it was overwhelming!
Kyurem could feel it—this was enough to shatter the level 120 God Tier barrier, to step into an entirely new realm of power!
Ash grinned.
"Finally, your breakthrough! Took long enough… but with this, you're not going anywhere!"
The Tenfold Crit had turned Yveltal's defeat into the equivalent of slaying ten Yveltals at once!
A tidal wave of EXP—perfect for forcing a level-up explosion.
But the barrier between 119 and 120 wasn't easy to overcome. Kyurem shot into the skies to complete its evolution.
Ash's gaze returned to Yveltal, who lay crashed into the earth.
As expected of Kalos's God of Destruction—it was already recovering. Its crimson eyes regained their glow.
Mewtwo carried Ash down to its side.
Yveltal glared at him in disbelief.
It couldn't accept it—how could a mere human trainer defeat it?
Even if that human had a monster like Kyurem.
Its gaze drifted upward, to where Kyurem was tearing through the firmament itself.
Ash smirked. Confidence gleamed in his eyes.
"You want to be as strong as that, don't you? Then… let's work together."
The King of Persuasion, Ash Ketchum, was in his element.
Bit by bit, through his relentless charm, Ash managed to sway even the God of Destruction.
At last, Yveltal gave a grudging nod.
"Excellent! Look at Kyurem—you won't regret this decision. From now on, let's fight together, Yveltal."
Ash pulled out a Master Ball, gently touching it to Yveltal.
Click!
The ball sealed shut.
"Perfect… Yveltal, captured!"
"Pika—CHUUU!!!"
Pikachu leapt onto Ash's shoulder, beaming.
Moments later, Kyurem descended from the skies, its power radiating.
Ash's eyes lit up. Perfect—Level 120!
Exactly as he had predicted. Equal to that Shiny Rayquaza!
And once Kyurem entered either Black or White Form, it was akin to returning to its primal, mega-evolved state—its power would skyrocket even further!
Ash clenched his fist.
The future battles were only going to get more epic from here.
