"Gyaaaaa!!"
"Raaaargh!"
The moment Dialga and Giratina locked eyes in the sky, a battle was inevitable.
"It's said that whenever Dialga or Palkia cross paths with Giratina, a clash always breaks out… Looks like the legends were true," Cynthia muttered, eyes fixed on the scene before her.
She had read this in many historical texts and ancient ruins—but never imagined she'd witness it unfold right before her.
BOOM!
A Dragon Pulse from Dialga and a Shadow Ball from Giratina collided in midair above the lake, erupting into a towering mushroom cloud of raw energy!
Seeing this, Sheena quickly clasped her hands in front of her chest and activated her Powers of Aura.
"O power that transcends, stabilize the laws of time and space!"
Ash stood to the side, intrigued.
This was his first time seeing someone else use the power of Aura before him.
Though… it felt a little weak.
Sheena was trying to use her aura to communicate with Giratina, for she knew the story behind its fury.
Back when Sheena and her brother Kevin were traveling near Alamos Town, the battle between Dialga and Palkia had caused the town to be ripped out of their dimension, sucked into Palkia's distorted space.
They had witnessed the town disappear before their eyes.
Eventually, Ash had resolved that crisis, and Alamos Town reappeared.
That event had deeply shaken both Sheena and Kevin.
They began to suspect Palkia was behind it.
After returning to their hometown of Michina, guardians of the ancient Ruins of Space-Time, they began studying the phenomenon.
Within the Michina Ruins was a Time-Space Axis—an ancient mechanism showing the clashing of time and space: Dialga's domain and Palkia's dimension.
The clash had disrupted Giratina's Reverse World, and in turn, that destabilization began affecting the real world.
Thus, they understood why Giratina was so enraged.
However, the current Giratina was far too consumed by fury to listen to Sheena's aura.
"ROOOOOAR!!"
Giratina bellowed—its voice trembling the air—directly at Sheena.
Ash shook his head. It wasn't unreasonable for Giratina to be this furious—after all, the Reverse World had been polluted by toxins.
"Pikachu, stop them!"
"Pika—CHU!"
Pikachu leaped from Ash's shoulder and blasted a Thunderbolt between the two Legendaries.
BOOOOOM!
The crackling bolt of electricity forced both Dialga and Giratina to pause.
Especially Giratina—it turned toward the source of the interruption.
And saw Ash and Pikachu.
Dialga, noticing the moment of calm, took the opportunity to open a rift to its temporal realm—and vanished into the time dimension.
"Long time no see, Giratina," Ash called out with a smile.
"Pika pika!"
"You've met Giratina before?" Cynthia asked, stunned.
"We…" Dawn began, then explained the story involving Shaymin and the Bouquet of the Sky.
As Cynthia listened, her gaze toward Ash grew ever more astonished.
Giratina flew down and landed before them, nodding to Ash in recognition.
It remembered him clearly.
Pikachu, followed by Dawn's Piplup, climbed up onto Giratina's wings and neck, playing like old friends.
A perfect chance.
Sheena once again activated her aura—trying to explain to Giratina that it had misunderstood Dialga. She pleaded for peace.
Giratina didn't react violently this time.
But its eyes stayed fixed on Ash.
Ash had done it a huge favor in the past.
"Giratina, the toxins in the Reverse World aren't entirely Dialga or Palkia's fault," Ash said gently. "They were victims too."
Giratina listened silently.
Ash continued: "They were both influenced by distortions in Arceus's cosmic realm. They believed the other had trespassed on their domain—that's what caused their battle, which in turn harmed the Reverse World."
"So, if the time comes when we need you—will you fight alongside me?"
"Pika pika!"
Ash asked sincerely.
Pikachu clung to Giratina's neck, speaking to it as well.
"Grrrr… grrraaaa…"
Giratina: Of course. We are friends. And if a friend is in trouble—I will be there.
With that, Giratina turned.
Pikachu and Piplup slid down from its wings.
It opened a rift with a breath of dimensional wind—and returned to the Reverse World.
"That was amazing, Sheena! You were incredible—managing to calm Giratina down," Kevin praised.
Dawn frowned slightly, whispering, "Um… I think Giratina only calmed down because of Ash…"
Sheena nodded in agreement.
Kevin scratched his head awkwardly.
"…As expected of the Beast of Thunder and its Guardian," Sheena said with reverence. "You truly are the ones spoken of in our ancestral legend. Please, follow me—I want to take you somewhere."
She led Ash and the others toward the Michina Temple, the heart of the ruins.
Cynthia hadn't expected they'd gain access to the towers so quickly.
This was exactly the historic site her grandmother had sent her to research.
And now—thanks to Ash—she even got to see Giratina up close. This trip was more than worth it.
As Sheena guided them through the temple, explaining the function of the Time-Space Axis, the scene cut away—
———
To a distant plane beyond reality.
A cosmos of shimmering nebulas… as if gazing into a different universe.
But it wasn't the Reverse World.
This dimension far surpassed it.
It was vaster than the Real World… twice as vast.
And at its heart… slept a god.
A being covered in pristine white armor, shaped like a centaur.
Its gray-striped torso, four golden-tipped legs… emerald eyes closed in deep slumber.
Around its waist: a glowing golden cross-like ring, bound to its chest.
Its name—Arceus.
The Creator God.
The being who forged time, space, antimatter, and life itself.
And in that boundless void—its eyes opened.
Green irises. Crimson pupils.
Eyes that burned with—
Fury.
