It was a new day, as usual, since he'd been recovering.
He was awoken by the sweet smell of herbal medicine as someone walked into the room where he was kept.
Shisui slowly sat upright and positioned himself to receive the man.
"You're improving quite well, " The man said.
"You seem quite talkative today, have you decided to tell me who you are?" Shisui replied.
"I doubt you'd know if I tell you but be assured I am no Shinobi nor am I associated with any village at least not anymore"
Shisui listened as he listened to the elderly man drop the food tray by his side and sit opposite him.
"So why are you helping me?" Shisui asked.
"Pity"
"Pity?"
"I don't know the reason why what happened to you or your clan happened however I just could not just leave you there"
Shisui listened closely and paid attention to everything but never believed a thing at the end of the statement.
"My clan, what happened?" He asked nonetheless
"Hmm, I assumed you already knew, some months after I found you and while you were still too weak, the Uchiha clan got massacred according to the rumor by one of their own, leaving only a kid behind," The man said.
Shisui took in a deep breath as he thought
'So you really did it, Itachi?' However, he was not without guilt, such a burden to kill his loved ones and family all for the sake of the clan, now that he thought about it, he was selfish to put such a task on a kid.
He didn't know whether it was the right thing or the wrong thing to do; however, he chalked it up to protecting the village, even though there were probably other diplomatic ways to go about it.
This was the part he didn't want to see or ask himself but now that fate says no to his death, the next question becomes what's next
"This is a chance for you however, you can start all over, shed all light and skin of your clan and begin life anew, the Uchiha clan is done for just like the Uzumaki clan and other clans before it, you should move on," The old man said apologetically to Shisui who didn't reply at first.
Certainly because what he said was true but he couldn't help but think not all of these clans were completely wiped out, there were simply scattered around however, there are Uzumaki still alive and senju still alive, though the senju clan wasn't destroyed, the kaguya clan was still alive and so many others but in very small fraction, his previous line of work allowed him access to this much level of information.
So even though he decides to start life anew and begin a new family, it was undeniable that he will not be able to trait of the Uchiha clan in the future, a good prospect but flawed
