Laughter rose from the crowd, as one trainee hung her head low and wept softly. Hang Menglin frowned: "Spineless!"
The instructor of class two, Ma Chong, glanced over at the other party: "Everyone starts from the same step; you need to learn to respect others!"
"Hmph, respect is not something that's given but earned!" Hang Menglin said with disdain: "Just because they are female trainees, should we be sympathetic and cherish them? Don't forget, they're soldiers first, women second!"
Ma Chong frowned: "No, how come I find that you seem to have preconceived notions against women, aren't you a woman yourself?" The corners of the other instructors' mouths visibly twitched.
Hang Menglin reasserted: "I am a soldier first, and a woman second!"
