If on the outskirts of the Death Mountain, one could still catch a glimpse of some sunlight.
Then this central area appeared particularly somber and dark with death energy pervading.
The trees here grew in strange and grotesque shapes, nearly blocking all the sunlight with their leaves.
The ground was covered with a thick layer of rotting leaves, and under such conditions, no flowers or plants could even begin to sprout.
The air was filled with rotting scents and indistinct mist that lingered all year round.
Without needing to discern carefully, the Dragon Spirit could clearly understand that this air was toxic, and if humans inadvertently stepped here,
they would be knocked out by the 'poisonous gas' in the air in just a few minutes.
What's most difficult to guard against was that when this air made contact with human skin, it would produce a burning sensation.
