My heart sped in my chest and in a bad habit I looked down the glass of my milkshake which was now long gone. I didn't know how to react to that and I wasn't sure what would be the right way to react to that.
"Oh," I cleared my throat and gave him a small smile, "it's okay." I held up my hands for them to see. There were one or two small scars but most had healed up. "They've recovered."
Mr Benedito shook his head, "none of my boys should cause anyone harm."
"Unless they absolutely deserve it," Mr Billie added, "and you didn't Birdy. I promise you we didn't raise our boys to be like that. We raised good and hard working men. Benecio seems to get out of control when he deeply wants something."
