Chapter 54 - I will right your wrongs (Part II)

"London 7 years ago, did you know there was an incident that was supposed to start a war between the U.S and Great Britain?" Her look was only confusion. She looked vulnerable and scared. I wondered if I wasn't stretching my beliefs, but I continued. "Apparently there was an act of terror that ended with the murder of three ambassadors from the Middle East. It was discovered to be all on the order of the President of the United States at the time. Unfortunately, before the assailant could be captured and questioned she was shot dead. Not looking to cause a panic the two countries decided to cover up the incident and resolve things diplomatically. Communication between the two nations were very tense however, war was inevitable. Less than a week later though, the entirety of the U.S cabinet was murdered, World War 3 started and the whole investigation of the act of terror was shelved." She looked at me with so much fear in her eyes. All I saw was the girl next door in high school that I fell in love with. My best friend's sister. The playful and know it all smile was nowhere to be seen and yet…

"What does that have to do with-" I continued cutting off any response she had. I couldn't allow her to respond. I would lose my nerve otherwise.

"During the investigation of the Secretary General's murder I came across this incident because the bullet that shot the terrorist was from a CheyTac Intervention-American Sniper rifle. A weapon I believed was used to murder my former boss. Apparently, there was video of the incident. It was supposed to be eventually shown on the news about an oil rig agreement between the countries. Imagine my surprise when the terrorist girl that was on the recording looked amazingly just like you. When I ran facial recognition on the video it came back with a ninety-five percent match with your face. Different hair of course and she somehow look older than you should have been but somehow, someway, I knew it was you." There were tears in her eyes now. The woman I lost and found in the United Kingdom was in front of my eyes now. The woman that was so happy to see me after being separated from each other so long. That made me the happiest man in the world. The woman I had such a big crush on had a brilliant smile on her face just from my presence. It was surreal. Listening to her talk and interact with her brother just like old times after I thought I lost her. I was hooked like I never was before. My feelings for her grew exponentially.

"Th-that g-g-girl is d-dead w-why is there g-g-guns pointed-" Her stuttering is breaking my heart but I have to stay strong.

"That girl is dead, it could just be a coincidence besides it wasn't a hundred percent match but during the recognition process I discovered that your face is the owner of seventeen different passports from various countries. Three understandably are under your name and you look your normal self. British, American, and Sierra Leonian are the passports held by CniDaria Williams. However, the other passports are under other names and from countries you never should have been to before. The dates that these passports were used put you in the country, put you in the vicinity of almost every act of terror that has happened in the world for the past 8 years." The agents around me raised their guns a little higher. CniDaria had put her hands down to cover her face and was now wiping her face of tears. Making her expression sorrowful. I've never seen her so scared, upset, and confused. It almost made me drop my gun to go over and console her. Then I thought back to the files I read and how gruesome the assassinations were. The thought steadied my gun and my resolve.

When she finally put her hands down her expression had changed completely. It didn't look like a face that had been crying just 30 seconds ago. Her face should reflect a young woman that was being accused of the worse possible crime, and her world was about to end. That face that I expected was nowhere to be seen. It was a cold calculating look, as her eyes began to dart around the room. Before I could say anything more, she started to take out each one of my agents with speed and strength greater than what I saw on that video. She overpowered and killed 3 grown men in only 10 seconds. Everyone in the room was so surprised to be facing such an expert where previously stood a little girl, barely dressed and crying. They all just froze in shock, unable to move as they were beaten and disarmed. I had a good shot at her but looking at the only girl I ever loved wouldn't let me pull the trigger. She disarmed me and pulled me to ground with my hand behind my back, face to the ground. I was helpless before her. "CniDaria please! This doesn't have to end as badly as it can. Just turn yourself over me. You and your brother who has the same evidence against him will get lighter sentences. Just come quietly! I LOVE YOU CNIDARIA! I don't want this to end with your death!"

"You love me?" Her voice was cold and unfeeling, barely a whisper like she was talking to a stranger that she never planned on seeing again. Her voice was way too calm like it was just another stroll in the park. "Instead of making love to me and waking up in the morning next to me. You decided to fuck me and shoot me dead with four grown men in a hotel room. That doesn't sound like love to me." She broke the arm I had pinned behind my back and I yelled in agony.

"You and your brother are the worse criminals the world has ever known. How did you think this would end for you?"

"Funny how you come after me before my brother, the man of the situation. Did you think I would be an easier target? Maybe you don't know as much as you think you do." She proceeded to break my leg. I screamed in agony; the pain was the only thing keeping me conscious. She raised up off my back and started to gather her things from around the room. It took all my will power to pull myself face up.

"I do have one question that I never figured out. Why? You both rose up from peculiar circumstances and became successes in your field. Thylonius is a genius engineer and you're an accomplished doctor. People with the same background as you could never make something of themselves as you two have." No answer. She continued to gather her things as I laid there helplessly surrounded by my broken subordinates, no way to stop her. "You know I wondered why you would come to this shit country nothing but slums and shit people." I seemed to have struck a chord. She picked up my gun, took a knee next to me and pointed the gun to my temple.

"That's what's wrong with you people, just because the country that you're from is wealthy and so-called advance that makes you better than everyone else in the world. That all people that are not from the same country are shit. Such fucked up reasoning is why we turned this world upside down." I've never seen so much anger in her face. So much venom in her voice. There was a mix of red and violet in her eyes.

"We huh? Is that why you were always in the most danger in your assassinations? I've studied your exploits CniDaria. Once it became clear who it was behind all this chaos it was easy to deduce how everything went down. You are always on the ground and Thylonius always controlling from a distance. You are always in danger. I know what his next move is CniDaria! I see the movement of money on this continent! He plans to become a throne less king on this continent. To disappear behind money and prosperity, he says it is for the people. I won't let him disappear behind governments while he controls them from the shadows. A goddamn dictator! So that he never has to answer for his crimes. He cares for nothing but himself and his interest! Where did masochism come from? How come I never caught it!" The emotions that I've been holding in started to spill out and I started to cry. CniDaria just looked at me with pity on her face as if I was such a little man. She gave me a small and cruel smile still holding the gun to my temple.

"'It's a shame, I wish the system could be changed. Brought down so that there could be more opportunities for all of us. But short of a miracle that could see most of the world leaders change. That's impossible. It'll always be the underlings being shitted on by the elite especially if you're of color'"

Those words, I've heard them before. CniDaria removed the gun from temple and replaced it with a kiss. "By the way if you planned on capturing me you would have needed to multiply the cronies you brought by ten. The reason I was always on the ground and my brother was always at a distance was because it wouldn't work any other way. I am the Harbinger." She then got up, turned her back on me, and left the room. She left me with not just broken bones but now a broken heart. The pain of my body, the pain knowing what the impact of my words caused, made me pass out just to make the agony go away.
