Kent had to be honest that he never expected the next stages of his journey to be impossible ones.
Nothing that Lord Bimk had said inspired his confidence to keep moving forward. If anything, he considered calling Vexthra or Miryssa to help him cross to the next continent.
Lord Bimk made it sound like he had nowhere else to go but to stay in Snow City.
Using the Continental Teleportation Channel sounded safe but hard to get. Kent knew if he wanted, he could just call Vexthra over, who he knew would be able to get a ticket or two for both of them.
However, doing so would defeat the purpose of his mission. The next time he can't call for her help, what then would he do?
For now, he wants to be able to solve his problems without relying on others.
This is but a prelude to the main mission he would be embarking on in about a year's time. So he wants to solve his own problems.
