The midnight air was crisp, biting gently at their cheeks as they walked hand in hand along the deserted shoreline.
A full moon hung high above the ocean like a silent sentinel, its silver light spilling over the restless waves, making them shimmer like scattered diamonds.
The hush of the world around them was broken only by the soft roar of the tide and the distant cries of night birds carried by the wind.
As they walked in silence, embracing the tranquillity around them, they reached a quiet spot near the rocks.
Sarah was too captivated by the shimmering ocean, that she didn't notice the rock.
"Careful, sweetheart." Henry pulled her closer. "This is dangerous, you know. You could hurt yourself," he whispered, his voice soft and deep as he gestured at the rock.
Sarah slowly met his gaze, her eyes twinkling like diamonds as she replied, wrapping her arms around his neck.
