Rhode Island
August 28, 09:41 EDT
As quickly as the light consumed his vision, it dimmed.
Peter stumbled half a step as he began checking himself over. Everything was still where it was supposed to be, but his body felt funny.
"Is my body supposed to feel like TV static, or did something go very wrong?" Peter asked.
"Yes." said a voice that wasn't Batman.
Peter looked up and saw Robin standing a few feet away, a smile on his face.
"It's common the first time around. It passes." Robin added. "Usually."
Peter grinned under his mask. "It's fine even if it doesn't. Truth be told, I'm used to a little tingling."
His attention drifted past Robin, and his eyes widened in surprise.
They had teleported inside a cavern.
A massive cavern with an appropriately sized metal contraption coming down from the middle of the ceiling and ending above a tiled area. Further away, a hallway led elsewhere.
Peter stepped forward, craning his neck upward. "Are we inside a mountain?"
Robin smirked. "Welcome to Mount Justice."
"Is he here?!" a voice shouted from afar.
The next second, a gust of wind accompanied the appearance of Kid Flash.
"Welcome to Mount Justice!" Kid Flash spread his arms. "So? Pretty sweet, right? Are you in awe at our digs? Bet you don't have something like this."
"I mean, sure, your mountain is pretty cool, but I have a lab under my shed." Peter shrugged.
"You have a lab under your shed?" Robin asked.
"Yeah, I call it my Spider-Cave."
Kid Flash scrunched his eyebrows. "Spider-Cave? Why didn't you call it your Spider-Nest? Or your Spider-Web. Or your Cocoon. Something a spider actually does."
"That's ..." Peter tried to come up with a retort, but couldn't. "... actually way better than Spider-Cave."
"You're welcome." Kid Flash shrugged.
Before Peter could ask where the others were, Batman's voice grabbed their attention. "What?"
Peter was confused, but was less so when he saw Batman had his hand up to his ear, clearly communicating with someone.
"I'm on my way." Batman turned to them. "Give him the tour. I'll be back."
Batman vanished in a flash of yellow light, leaving the teens alone.
Peter turned back to look at Robin and Kid Flash, rubbing his hands in excitement. "Now that Batman is gone, how about we skip the tour and go straight to the high-tech weaponry you guys have hidden in the basement?"
Robin smirked. "Sorry to rain on your parade, but after the League abandoned this place, they took all the toys. They're not planning on putting them back anytime soon."
"So what I'm taking from that is we should go to the Hall of Justice to see those toys." Peter said.
"Why don't we stick with getting you acquainted with the Cave for now?" Robin said.
"Fine." Peter waved his hand in dismissal. "So is the welcoming party just you two? Where is everyone else?"
"Everyone's here except Aqualad." Kid Flash said. "He's visiting Atlantis."
"And keeping plenty busy, or so we've heard." Robin added.
Peter's curiosity was piqued. "Does that mean the Zeta-Tubes go to Atlantis, or does he have to swim out into the ocean whenever he gets homesick?"
"There's a Zeta-Tube in Poseidonis." explained Robin. "But it really doesn't get used by anyone but Aquaman and Aqualad."
"You think Aqualad would mind if I hitched a ride with him the next time he visits Atlantis?" Peter asked. "I'd love to see it."
Ever since he'd realized what world he'd been reborn into, there were a few places he wanted to visit and cross off his bucket list. Atlantis was obviously one of them. The Batcave, too. And much less likely, given the no men allowed policy, Themyscira.
"I don't think he'd mind, but you might, considering the depth and all." Robin reminded him.
"That's a problem?" Peter asked. "It seems like a pretty manageable obstacle, all things considered. Doesn't Batman have a deep-sea exploration suit I could borrow or something?"
"Forget about visiting Atlantis for now." Kid Flash slung an arm around Peter's shoulders. "Let's tour this place, Spidey." He turned to look at Peter. "You don't mind if I call you that, do you? Feels weird saying Spider-Man when we're off-duty."
"You can call me Spidey." Peter swallowed. "Or Peter, if you want."
Peter's family had asked if he planned on telling the Team his identity. He'd said no at first, listing every reason he could think of for keeping it to himself, many of which were the same ones he'd used for not telling them. But after talking it through, they'd managed to shift his thinking by suggesting he reveal his first name only.
The idea didn't sound bad, but he still only came around on it after spending an afternoon combing through census data, school rosters, and social media. Thanks to how common the name was, there were at least fifteen hundred Peters in New York who roughly matched his age, build, skin tone, and family situation.
With numbers like that, and knowing the Justice League vetted the Team, he decided it was probably a safe bet.
Kid Flash blinked, then broke into a grin. "Peter, huh? Nice."
Robin looked at Peter with concern. "You sure you want to just hand out your name like that? From what Batman told me, you're practically as paranoid as he is when it comes to the whole secret identity thing."
"First name only." Peter said. "And it's basically like saying my name is John Doe. I'm one of thousands of Peters my age in New York."
"You know how many Peters there are in New York?" Kid Flash asked.
"Oh yeah." Peter nodded. "I may or may not have spent an afternoon cross-referencing census data, school rosters, and social media platforms. There are many Peters who I could or could not be."
Kid Flash laughed. "Dude, that's awesome. Well, you can call me Wally."
"Wally. That suits you." Peter nodded, even though he already knew his name.
"Don't even think about asking Boy Wonder for his." Wally added, jerking a thumb at Robin. "Batman's forbidden him from telling anyone his real name."
Peter looked over at Robin and decided to mess with him. "I get that. But I feel like I can guess your name, though."
"Yeah, right." Robin laughed. "Based on what?"
"My genius and intuition." Peter smirked. "Let me see, I'm feeling an ... R."
"Duh." Wally said.
"No, wait. It's not an R ... it's a D." Peter squinted theatrically. "D ... Di-, no ... Damian!" He snapped his fingers.
Robin and Wally both let out the quiet breaths they'd been holding, looking a lot more relieved.
"Way off." Robin said flatly.
"Too bad." Peter shrugged. "Be honest with me, if I did guess it, would you have even told me?"
Robin just smirked. "Come on, let's start the tour."
They walked out of the Zeta-Tube and deeper into the cavern, stepping onto the tiled floor beneath the massive metal contraption suspended overhead.
"This is the Cave's central chamber." Robin explained. "It serves as the mission room, and that giant metal thing above us is the holographic computer."
"Holographic computer." Peter repeated in awe, craning his neck to take in the machinery jutting down from the ceiling.
"The room also doubles as one of our training rooms." Robin swiped his hand through the air, and a holographic display flickered to life. "There are a few modes, but the one we use the most is basically like a fighting game."
A white light rippled across the tiled floor, and holographic pop-ups appeared beside each of them, displaying their names. Next to each name were their scores: Peter's read 0–0, Robin's 30–10, and Wally's 9–20.
"Dude, you turned on the scores!" Wally said as Robin smiled.
"Judging by the change in pitch in Wally's voice, I'm guessing those numbers are wins to losses?" Peter asked.
"Yeah." Robin chuckled.
"Hey, in my defense, there's not a lot of room to get a proper running start in here." Wally gestured at the tiled area. "Besides, who needs to learn how to throw someone over your shoulder when you can move as fast as I can? Momentum does the heavy lifting."
"Until you can't get a proper running start, that is." Peter added.
"Funny guy." Wally cracked his knuckles. "Alright, let's see you put your money where your mouth is."
"You want to spar?" Peter asked.
"As funny as I think it would be to see Wally lose again-" Robin said.
"Dude!"
"-how about we wait until after the tour's done?" He continued. "Canary's scheduled for training later. You can do it then."
That got Peter's attention. "Black Canary?"
"Yeah." said Wally. "She's one of our combat instructors. Comes by a couple times a week unless League stuff gets in the way."
"Interesting." Peter said. "Does Batman train you guys, too?"
Robin shook his head. "Batman leaves the training to other Leaguers. He's in charge of assigning us our missions."
"Too bad." Peter said, a little disappointed. "Do you think he'd spar with me if I asked?"
That earned him a look from the two.
"What? Did I say something weird?" Peter asked, confused.
Wally let out a snort. "Yeah, kinda."
"You want to spar with Batman voluntarily?" Robin asked. "He's like a Spartan crossed with a drill sergeant. I wouldn't recommend it."
"Didn't he train you?" Peter asked.
"Yeah." Robin said flatly. "That's why I don't recommend it."
"I'll be fine. He can't be worse than my old boxing coach." A brief montage of Ted Grant's brutal training flashed through Peter's mind. 'It's been a while since I've seen the old man; I should visit.'
"You know how to box?" Wally asked, surprised. "Every time I've seen you fight, you're just … spinning around."
"And coming from him, that's saying something." Robin added.
Peter chuckled. "I know how to fight, I just don't usually get the chance to. Kinda have to hold back my strength, otherwise I'd end up doing a lot more than knocking criminals out."
Wally's eyes lit up, and Peter could practically see the question forming, but before he could ask, a voice echoed down the corridor.
"So you're the new guy."
Peter turned to see Artemis, Miss Martian, and Superboy approaching.
Artemis stood at an average height, had long blonde hair tied in a ponytail, and had a slender yet athletic build. She wore a midriff-baring costume colored in various shades of green consisting of a mask covering her upper face, a sleeveless top with a stylized arrow tip on the front, fingerless gloves, pants with black knee pads, and black combat boots. On her back was a full quiver and a bow.
One glance told Peter she was well-trained.
'Not hard to assume, anyway, considering this is a team of superhero proteges.' Peter internally rolled his eyes at his assessment of her. "That's me. And judging by the bow on your back, you must be Speedy. Though last I heard, Speedy was a guy with a red color scheme."
Artemis gave him a deadpan look. "Was that supposed to be a joke?"
"Not a very good one, apparently." Peter wryly shrugged. "You're Artemis, right?"
She looked him up and down with a scrutinizing gaze. "Yeah, Artemis."
"Cool." Peter said. "Well, it's nice to meet you. I'm Spider-Man, but you can also call me Peter."
Artemis relaxed a little. "Cool. I'm still Artemis."
"Good to know." Peter nodded.
Miss Martian floated over, clearly delighted. "Then I'm M'gann M'orzz, but you can call me Megan. It's my Earth name."
"M'gann M'orzz." Peter grabbed his chin thoughtfully. "Do all Martian names follow a similar naming scheme?"
M'gann brightened at the question. "Yes, they do! Martian names are tied to family lines and cultural traditions. The structure can tell you where someone comes from and who they're related to."
Peter nodded, genuinely interested. "Fascinating. Two species from different planets, with no recorded contact, yet they share similar naming conventions. Either it's a coincidence, or certain ideas are universal once a society gets big enough."
"I … guess so?" M'gann said, a little puzzled but too polite to say so.
Artemis folded her arms. "You think about this stuff a lot?"
Peter shrugged. "Can't help it. Just how my brain works."
"That sounds exhausting."
"You have no idea."
Robin cleared his throat. "If we're done with the cultural exchange, we should keep the tour moving."
"I'll lead!" M'gann moved to the front. "Superboy and I live here, and we've already given the rest of the Team a tour, so we can do it again."
"You both live here?" Peter looked at Superboy. 'Guess my theory about him being a clone is even more confirmed.'
Superboy met his look, eyes narrowing slightly. "What's with the look?"
"I, uh, I ... just assumed, you know, since you're, uh, Superboy, you were, uh, you know ... " Peter faltered, his brain stalling.
"I was what?" Superboy asked, a little more defensively.
"Related to Superman?" Peter finished. "In some way."
Superboy blinked, staying silent for a moment. "I'm a clone of Superman."
"Oh. Okay." Peter said, casually. 'Knew it.'
Everyone looked at him oddly.
"Now what did I say?" Peter asked.
"He just told you he was a clone of Superman, and your reaction was 'Oh. Okay.'" Wally pointed out.
"Not really the kind of reaction you'd expect from someone when you tell them something like that." Artemis added.
"And she should know." Wally laughed. "You should've seen her reac- ow!"
Wally yelped in pain after being kicked in the shin by an unamused Artemis.
"Well, I can scream and run around in shock if that's more what you guys were looking for." Peter said.
Superboy frowned slightly. "You're really ... not surprised?"
Peter shook his head. "Not really. Is being a clone normal? No. But neither is being part of a covert team of teenage superheroes operating out of a mountain. Normal checked out a while ago."
M'gann giggled. "That's true."
"You're standing here, making choices, talking, I'm sure getting annoyed at Wally, living your life. That's enough to prove you're your own person for me."
Back when he figured out what world he was in, Peter went through a short period of time where he wasn't sure he wasn't experiencing some sort of death-induced psychosis. His words to Superboy were very much the same ones he had told himself to snap out of it, minus the Wally part, naturally.
M'gann hovered closer to Superboy, smiling warmly. "I think it's a good way of looking at it. Being you is what matters."
Superboy nodded slowly. "Yeah ... yeah, it is."
A brief silence settled over the Cave.
Wally broke it. "I mean not to discredit him or whatever, but he basically just said 'I think, therefore I am.'"
"You just had to ruin it." Artemis said, rolling her eyes, as everyone laughed.
"Alright, miss tour guide, let's continue, shall we?" Robin said.
M'gann clapped her hands together. "Right! The tour!" She floated a few feet ahead. "Since we're already here, let's start with the basics!"
She gestured around them, and Peter took another look at the cavern.
"Mount Justice can more or less be split into four levels." M'gann explained. "Top, second, third, and base."
"One wasn't enough?" Peter joked.
"We won't be visiting the top level." M'gann continued. "That's Red Tornado's apartment. He stays there when he's acting as our den mother."
"Den mother?" Peter echoed. "Hearing the words den mother and Red Tornado together is so ... weird."
"Really? Never thought about it much." Wally shrugged. "Anyways, don't worry about him, he's pretty hands-off."
"If you say so." Peter said.
Robin pointed upward. "It's directly above this room. The entrance is hidden in the ceiling, right where the holographic computer comes down."
Peter looked up at the massive machinery overhead. "A supercomputer that doubles as an apartment. Huh."
M'gann smiled and floated toward the tiled area. "This level is th-"
Robin interrupted her. "We already went over this, so let's skip this part."
"Oh, good. Then let's keep going." she said.
She gestured towards one of the hallways branching off from the central chamber. "That way leads to one of the exits; it's the back entrance. It's camouflaged into the mountainside and opens towards the Rhode Island coast."
Peter perked up. "So we're in Rhode Island."
"We're just outside Happy Harbor." Robin added.
"Wow." Peter said in awe when he noticed everyone looking at him, a little amused. "Guys, I know I'm new to the whole teleportation thing, but you're all staring at me like I'm a country boy seeing the big city for the first time."
"It's okay, country boy." Artemis said in a bad southern accent. "You'll get used to the big city lights eventually."
Peter scoffed. "Please. I'm from New York. If anything, you're the country folk."
"That way is the back entrance." M'gann gestured toward another hallway. "The front entrance is on the opposite side of the mountain. It opens at the base of Mount Justice and leads straight into the forest."
"So how does it work to enter if you don't use the Zeta-Tubes? Am I going to have to carry giant keys for the entrances or?" Peter asked.
"There are cameras at all entrances. They require an identification scan like the one to get into the Zeta-Tubes." M'gann explained.
"So no comically oversized keyring." Peter said, sounding faintly disappointed. "Shame. I was ready to make my house keys the same size."
They continued down the corridor Peter had first seen when he arrived in the Cave. The passage sloped gently downward, making it clear they were descending deeper into the mountain.
"This is the third level, which is the most expansive part of the Cave." M'gann explained as they entered an open space.
To one side was a lounge area, furnished with green couches and a large screen mounted into the rock wall. Adjacent to it was a kitchen set up with counters, storage, an eating area, and appliances that looked far too expensive to be hidden underground.
"This serves as both our lounge/common room and kitchen." M'gann said.
Peter glanced at the couches, then the kitchen. "It's surprisingly normal for a secret superhero base."
"What did you expect?" Wally asked.
"I honestly don't know." Peter admitted. "Maybe a trash can that's actually a portal to another dimension where a monster eats your garbage. I don't know."
They all just looked at Peter oddly before continuing.
"Medical bay's down that hall." M'gann added, pointing. "It has a lot of advanced equipment. MRI, X-Ray, and a surgical suite if the need arises."
"I'm assuming that room gets a lot of visits from everyone." Peter said.
"Not me." Superboy said.
"Yeah, just mostly Wally and his stomach problems." Robin joked.
"One time!" Wally protested.
"Also down that hall is the workout room." M'gann continued.
That caught Peter's attention.
"Is it a workout room designed for regular people or for supers?" Peter asked.
"Regular people?" Artemis asked. "You're not a regular person?"
"Ooh, yes!" Wally said, excited that they were back on the topic. "Your powers! What are they?! And how'd you get them?!"
Judging by their expressions, everyone else was just as curious; they'd simply been polite enough not to ask.
'Same thing you told Batman.' Peter thought. 'Everything but the spider-sense. Though who knows how much longer that'll stay secret.'
"Well, for the how of it all, I got them from a spider bite, believe it or not." Peter said.
"Seriously?" asked Artemis with the same slightly incredulous look the others also had.
"Seriously." Peter nodded. "As for what I can do: superhuman strength, speed, agility, reflexes, stamina, durability, and equilibrium. I can also cling to surfaces like a spider." He wiggled his fingers.
"Oh!" Peter snapped his fingers. "I also have telescopic and night vision. Sorry, forgot about those."
"Anything else you might have forgotten?" M'gann asked probingly.
Peter held M'gann's gaze for a moment. "That's everything relevant."
M'gann nodded, though her eyes lingered on him a moment longer.
"So where do you fall on the power scale?" Robin asked. "Is it right past the line into being superhuman or more along the level of Superman?"
"Definitely not at Superman's level." Peter shook his head. "Strength-wise, I can easily lift around twenty-five tons. Give or take."
"Twenty-five tons?!" several of them said at once.
"Yeah. When I first got bitten a year ago, it was closer to fifteen." Peter said. "I had to do some jury-rigging in an abandoned warehouse, using shipping containers and whatever I could find to build equipment to get stronger."
He flexed his right arm. The lean muscle tightened and became more defined, revealing clean, powerful lines that hinted at far more strength than his frame suggested.
"Wow." Artemis said, eyes fixed on his arm. "That is ... something."
"Yes." M'gann nodded, also looking at his arm. "It is."
Superboy and Wally scoffed, but both straightened slightly, Wally puffing out his chest while Superboy subtly flexed.
'Ah, I see how it is.' Peter thought. 'Can't say I blame them if I'm being honest.'
"Anyway." Peter put his arm down, noticing the other two also stopped preening. "Aside from my strength, on foot, I can get up to 100 MPH (160 KMPH) and much faster by swinging. Everything else varies, but it's all solidly superhuman."
"Wait, so your whole web shtick isn't part of your powers?" Wally asked.
"Nope." Peter pulled up his glove to reveal his web-shooters. "These puppies are all my genius."
"So you're just like Black Spider, then?" Artemis said.
"That hack? Come on." Peter waved his hand with contempt. "His webbing is basically red glue; mine is the perfect blend of scientific genius and art." He paused. "Wait, how do you know that guy?"
"How do you know that guy is the better question?" she shot back.
"He was technically my first villain." Peter said. "I caught him when he first became Black Spider. Ran into him again later when he and some League of Shadows goons attacked a prison transport to break him out."
"Talk about déjà vu." said Wally. "We just ran into the Shadows like three weeks ago."
"Let me guess." Peter said. "Well, if you brought up Black Spider, then I'm assuming Captain Hook and Cheshire weren't that far behind. Also, for the record, I'm pretty sure Cheshire has a crush on me. She pretty much said so when we fought during the prison transport fiasco."
"You fought Cheshire?!" Artemis blurted out.
"Uh, yeah. Why?" asked Peter, a little confused.
"Uh, n-no reason." she said.
"If you say so." Peter replied while making a mental note of that.
"Yeah, right. She's just surprised and embarrassed since it was her fault Cheshire got away." Wally pointed at Artemis, who glared at him.
Robin cleared his throat. "I think we've gotten a little sidetracked."
"Right." M'gann said sheepishly. "Where were we?"
"The gym." Superboy reminded her.
"Oh, right!" M'gann said. "The equipment there's designed for supers. Red Tornado said it was built with Superman and Wonder Woman in mind, so it should be more than sufficient."
Peter rubbed his hands together. "Finally. I won't have to worry about getting tetanus every time I work out."
They moved on, passing the entrance to the workout room and continuing down the hall. M'gann gestured to a set of doors further along.
"Those are the locker rooms and showers." she explained. "They're between the gym and the medical bay, which makes cleanup after missions easier."
"For blood or sweat. Got it." said Peter.
Farther along the winding corridor, the lighting dimmed slightly.
"And these are the living quarters." M'gann said. "Everyone on the Team is assigned a room, whether they use it or not."
They passed several identical doors, each set flush into the stone. M'gann gestured to the pair near the beginning. "Superboy and I are the only ones that actually live here, but as I said, everyone has their own room."
"Home away from home. Cool." said Peter.
They doubled back into the lounge before going down another corridor.
"To the left is the library. Two levels, lots of books, computers for research." explained M'gann.
"And I'm guessing it's the least visited room in this place." Peter added.
"Duh." said Wally.
They walked a little further down the corridor, reaching a brightly lit room.
"And this is the souvenir room." said M'gann.
Peter stepped inside and looked around. The room was mostly empty save for a series of shelves along one wall. Resting on them were a single eye, a red snake hood, an arrow, a mask he recognized as Cheshire's, and a golden helmet that made his spider-sense flare.
As the familiar tingle buzzed at the back of his skull, he noticed M'gann's eyebrows knit together as she glanced his way. He ignored the look and focused on the helmet.
"That helmet looks familar." he said, searching his memory.
"That's the Helmet of Fate. It's Doctor Fate's." Wally said somberly.
"From the Justice Society?" Peter asked.
"That's the one." Wally said.
Wally wasn't the only one who looked somber, so Peter swallowed the dozen questions bubbling up. "I recognize Cheshire's mask, but what about the other three?"
"The eye's from our unofficial second mission together." Wally explained, his somber expression lightening up a little. "It belonged to an android called Mister Twister. The hood came from a Kobra Cultist we fought on our first real mission in Santa Prisca. And the arrow-" he nodded toward Artemis, "-that's the one she used to save us during the Amazo fight."
"We keep mementos from past missions here." M'gann explained. "Though it's mostly just Wally."
Peter nodded, giving the Helmet of Fate one last glance before stepping back. The tingling in his head disappeared as he turned away.
They left the souvenir room and continued down the corridor as it sloped deeper into the mountain.
"And that leaves the base level." M'gann said. "The hangar."
Peter slowed as he took it all in.
The hangar was massive, easily the largest space in the Cave. A landing pad sat elevated above the rest of the space, its surface marked with embedded guide lights. A red, egg-shaped object rested at its center, drawing Peter's attention.
"That's my Martian Bio-Ship." M'gaan explained before Peter could ask. "It's our primary transport."
"That's alive?" asked Peter in disbelief.
"Yes, she is." M'gann said.
The next moment, the red egg morphed into the red ship they had flown in on when they first met.
"No way." Peter was in awe.
"Before you start drooling over it, only Martians can pilot them to their full capacity." Robin said, disappointing Peter. "But Miss M can change the ship so it can be flown normally."
"I don't even have my driver's license." Peter said.
Robin smiled. "None of us do."
"Okay, then." Peter said.
Below the pad, the rest of the hangar spread out. The Cave's main generator hummed steadily within a reinforced housing, and nearby stood two more Zeta-Tubes.
Peter's attention shifted to the big pool of water that sat beneath towering reinforced doors.
"That's the final entrance." M'gann said. "The bay doors lead straight out into the Atlantic."
"Subtle." Peter said.
M'gann gestured toward a part of the hangar built into the rock wall and cordoned off by glass. "Over there is the equipment room/workshop/garage."
Peter's head immediately snapped in the direction she was pointing. "Workshop?!"
Through the glass, he saw rows of workbenches, tool racks, neatly labeled storage units, stacked equipment cases, suit lockers lining the far wall, and personalized motorcycles. To Peter, it looked less like a room and more like a holy site.
"You look like a dog that saw a squirrel." Artemis said dryly.
"So." Peter said, already half a step in that direction. "I'm guessing that workshop and any materials one might need are free to use?"
"Yeah." Robin said.
Peter turned back. "And if I needed other materials that weren't available in the workshop, do we have a stipend, or is it more of an all-expense-paid kind of deal?"
"Just ask Red Tornado, and he should be able to help you out." Robin answered.
"Oh, baby. Christmas came early." Peter was filled with excitement.
"Okay, you're really starting to freak me out." Artemis said, backing away.
Peter blinked, then grinned. "Sorry. I've just had a lot of ideas I couldn't act on because of budget and material limitations."
He was already mentally making a list of all the materials he would ask Red Tornado for when a robotic voice echoed through the Cave.
"Team, report to the Mission Room. Black Canary has arrived."
Robin glanced at Peter, smiling. "Looks like it's time to show us what you've got."

AN
The exact layout/flow of the Cave is pretty much unknown for the most part, so writing it was kind of difficult. I was going to just summarize the tour to make it easier, but I wanted the exposition, so apologies if it's hard to follow (not stated, but consider the entire Cave to be connected with corridors and passageways since it is.) I found a map by someone on DeviantArt that I used as a loose reference, so shout out to them.
Next will be the part with Black Canary and possibly other Leaguers.
After that, we'll finally get into his first mission, where he'll wake up six months in the past with new gear he doesn't remember having.
Speaking of new gear, I already know what two suits he'll be using (one is his everyday and the other is his stealth-tech so to speak). Honestly, no other suit will ever come close to beating the classic in my opinion so he will eventually go back to it. That said it might be a variation of the classic, still not decided.
Also if I'm being honest, I abhor the mechanical spider-legs so don't expect them to appear. On his main suit, anyway, he'll definitely have special-use suits like in the game.
