Hey i figured you all deserved to know why I'm Dropping This Story.
Hey everyone, just wanted to give some closure and explain why I'm stepping away from this story.
The biggest reason is balance. Giving my character Shadow Monarch powers was fun at first—but let's be real, it turned me into a one-woman army. That might sound cool, but it starts to break things fast. Especially once you get into Level 3+ territory in Danmachi, where party dynamics and teamwork are supposed to matter. With how my setup works, by the time I hit Level 3, I'd have something like 12 shadows at my command. That kind of power just throws off everything.
On top of that, I brought in Monster Hunter mechanics—which I still love—but I've been totally winging the balance there too. Between armor crafting, monster summons, and trying to make it all work inside the Dungeon's ecosystem, it honestly started to feel more like guesswork than a story plan. And yeah, I think some of you probably noticed that.
Lastly, I just hit a wall when it came to progression. I wasn't sure how to move things forward in a way that felt natural or satisfying. So instead of dragging it out or letting it spiral, I figured I'd be honest and leave it open.
That said, if anyone out there wants to take a crack at it, feel free to use what I've written so far. Run with it. Remix it. Change what you need. I'd actually love to see what someone else might do with the ideas.
