"Charlotte, stay here with my mother. I'll go down and check. Maybe the circuit breaker tripped," Clara said as she turned on the flashlight on her phone.
Charlotte approached Jean and comforted her, "Mrs. Holmes, don't be scared. It's probably just a power outage or a tripped circuit breaker. Everything will be okay."
"Hehe, hehe..."
The creepy laughter began again, sounding like a voice from hell.
Charlotte shuddered while Jean swiftly clung to her out of fear.
Charlotte took a deep breath and mustered up her courage. "Mrs. Holmes, don't be scared. Let me check where the sound came from. Since there are no ghosts in this world, I'm sure someone is scaring us on purpose."
Then, she held her breath and focused on locating the direction where the sound came from.
With the help of her phone's flashlight, she soon located the source of that creepy laughter.
It was from the puppet!
Charlotte was dumbstruck.
