Later that day:
George, the Prime Minister of the Oswald Kingdom, held a meeting with his subordinates, the knight-captain of the city guard, and a couple of the knights who encountered King Titus.
"This is an embarrassment." George said, frowning. "His majesty spent only a short while in the capital before being attacked by criminals and finding a corrupt guard. Is that right?"
"Yes, my lord."
"This makes all of us look like incompetent fools!" George said, his voice rising in pitch and volume with each word. George leaned back in his chair and took a deep breath. "How angry did his majesty seem to you? What were his exact words?"
"His majesty appeared angry, but did not shout." The knight said, then recited King Titus' words.
"His majesty said: I do not tolerate corruption?" George said, focused and severe. "I have never heard his majesty use such strong language. What was the tone of his voice?"
"It was low, his majesty enunciated each word."
