The ladies stopped chatting as soon as they saw King Titus approaching. They curtsied politely once we were close. King Titus stood by while I explained my lottery plan to the ladies waiting to buy Tina's clothing.
"How about you have them throw dice, instead?" King Titus said while he put some strange objects in my hand.
"What are these?" I asked.
"Dice. You roll them and then you add up the numbers on the sides facing up. Whoever throws the largest sum goes first. See?"
I inspected the dice in my hands. These must have been made by the elf woodworker who made the chess set.
"I understand." I said. "Thank you. I am sure this will be quicker."
"Are these objects for sale, your majesty?" Asked the first noblewoman I handed the dice to. "What can these 'dice' be used for?"
"Mostly for games. Dice are used to introduce randomness to a game. You can ask the elf woodworker if she has any for sale." Titus answered.
