Alice typed swiftly on her laptop, narrowing down the location of the message's sender. Just then, her phone buzzed with an incoming call. She glanced at the screen. It was Drek.
Her frown deepened. If she stopped tracking even for a moment, she'd lose the signal and might not be able to trace the sender again. Every second mattered. But Drek wasn't the type to call without a reason.
With a slight sigh, she picked up. "What is it?"
"Alice… I told you before when we talked last to call us, but you didn't. So I took the initiative to call you and tell you that next time, you're the one who's going to do the calling."
Alice's eyes darkened. Did he just make her stop tracking for this? "I'm warning you, Drek. If you don't have anything important to say, don't make this mistake again."

A soft, nervous sound came from the other end. "I do have important information... but what harm could calling you possibly cause?"
