The twins were arguing as usual, while Dalton anxiously waited for Aiden's arrival. He had been gone all day, and it was already 2 AM, but he still wasn't back.
"Want a drink?" River offered.
"Not in the mood," Dalton shot him down.
"I'm back!" Aiden sang as he darted in.
"How did it go?"
Aiden grinned. "I was able to talk to her." He tossed his phone to Dalton. "You can read the whole exchange."
"Oh my gosh!" River exclaimed excitedly, jumping and pulling Aiden into a hug.
"That's great," Oliver smiled.
Dalton was lost in his own thoughts as he read the exchange, a smile in his heart as he absorbed Maya's last words: she told him she loved him so much and promised that she would soon be in his arms.
Damn, he has turned into a crybaby. He could feel the tears of relief burning in his eyes.
He pulled Aiden into his arms. "Thank you, little brother. You are so amazing."
'Aww,' River exclaimed.
