Next morning, in the inn;
Naruto sat quietly in his room, eating breakfast from what he carried, as the inn doesn't provide any meals.
The room is sealed by an intermediate-level privacy seal, giving Naruto peace of mind, but also not sealing off the room, as he is expecting a reply from Hiruzen.
He isn't even planning to leave the room, as there wasn't much in Suna to sightsee. Naruto is going to stay in the inn and prepare Gaara's gift until a reply comes from Hiruzen or Rasa.
For now, Naruto is going to enjoy his breakfast in peace.
In the afternoon, in the inn;
Naruto let out a sigh as he put down his ink-filled sealing brush and looked at the huge sealing matrix on the ground.
In the middle of the room, there is a large area covered in Kanji that was written in a web-like pattern that leads to the middle of the web.
Naruto took some time to go over the seal he had finished drawing, looking for any mistakes or anything forgotten. With everything in order, Naruto retrieved what he acquired from the toy store yesterday.
A brand new teddy bear, one that is very similar to what Gaara has.
Naruto looked at it for a second before putting it in the middle of the Kanji web in a sitting position.
He then stepped away while giving everything a final look.
With everything ready and in place, Naruto formed a single ram seal and released some chakra into the sealing matrix in front of him.
For a moment, nothing seemed to happen, then the Kanji started to glow slightly. The glow increased gradually until the Kanji seemed to come to life and started falling towards the teddy bear in a spiraling motion.
The Kanji, still glowing and moving, climbed up the teddy bear until the entire Kanji script left the ground and covered the stuffed bear from top to paw.
The kanji on the bear glowed for a bit more before returning to the dark ink color, then disappeared entirely, leaving a clean and new teddy bear.
Naruto picked up the teddy and examined it carefully.
'Are you sure this is a good idea, kit?' came Kurumi's voice from within Naruto's mindscape.
'Yeah. It's just going to help the poor boy sleep without fear of Shukaku taking over. And if that is the level of Fuinjutsu here in Suna, then they will never even figure out that this is helping the boy sleep. To them, it will seem that Gaara is having more control over himself.' Naruto replied.
'Then why don't I feel anything from the seal you just made?' Kurumi asked, quite intrigued by why she wasn't feeling the effects of the seal on the teddy bear.
'It is designed to suppress Shukaku's Chakra in that joke of a seal on Gaara's body. The seal you are currently in is the pinnacle of Uzumaki Fuinjutsu mastery. So, the seal on this bear won't have any effect on you, as it is absolutely unnecessary.' Naruto replied. Gaara's seal is an insult to fuinjutsu even without Naruto seeing it.
Looking at the teddy bear in his hand, Naruto knows that the Kanji script on it won't appear again unless his own chakra is driven through the seal. Also, the seal won't affect anyone except Shukaku's chakra in the seal's area of effect.
All in all, no one will find out about the seal. Even if Suna suspected anything from it, they won't be able to find anything, seeing how abysmal their level of Fuinjutsu is.
Pooooof
Naruto blinked at the small cloud of smoke that had just appeared and started to disappear almost immediately, revealing a young monkey.
"Sarutobi-sama said that there is a message for you and a message for the Kazekage." The small monkey said with a high-pitched tone of voice as he passed two scrolls to Naruto. One was sealed with the Hokage's official seal, and the other seemed like a personal message.
"Thank you," Naruto said as he took the two scrolls before the monkey disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Naruto opened the message meant for him and started to read it.
'I half expected the old monkey to choose the pressure route.' Kurumi said as she read the message through Naruto's eyes.
'Saru-sensei would have done that if Suna reached the level of shamelessness that Kumo had reached. But with the current route, we give Suna a way to get themselves out of this predicament without affecting us at all.' Naruto replied as he closed the scroll before putting both the scrolls he received in one of his vest pockets, before unsealing the room and walking out.
A few minutes later, in the Kazekage's office;
"We should just go to war with Konoha," Chiyo said with a seemingly nonchalant tone, making her brother sigh alongside Rasa, who rubbed the bridge of his nose.
"Nee-san, please. You know that isn't a valid option at all." Ebizo said with a sigh. He knows where his sister is coming from; she lost a lot to Konoha and wanted revenge for a long time. But right now, that can't happen at all, along with the person that she hated the most already being dead, the white fang Hatake Sakumo.
Chiyo just huffed silently, while Rasa just sighed. He and the two siblings have been together in his office since noon, trying to find the best way to reply to Hiruzen. And till now they haven't agreed on anything.
Knock, knock, knock.
"Come in," Rasa said as he and the two siblings looked at the door.
"Sorry for the interruption, Kazekage-sama. But Naruto Uzumaki wishes to see you." The secretary said after opening the door and bowing.
"What does he want now?" Chiyo muttered. They haven't come up with a reply yet.
"Let him in," Rasa said, to which the secretary nodded before motioning to someone behind the door to enter.
"Greetings, Kazekage-sama. I apologize for the sudden visit." Naruto said as he entered the office and reached into his vest while the secretary closed the door behind him.
"I just received another message for you from Hokage-sama," Naruto said, holding up the sealed scroll.
Rasa looked at Naruto for a moment before motioning him to give him the scroll. He didn't ask how he got the message. Hiruzen is known all over the Elemental Nations as the monkey contract holder.
Naruto gave the message to Rasa, who opened it and started reading. His eyebrows raised ever so slightly as he read.
"Doesn't the Hokage want anything in return?" Rasa asked as he passed the scroll to the siblings, who were slightly surprised by the contents.
"I think Hokage-sama will be satisfied by Suna and its shinobi not making things difficult anymore with Konoha's Shinobi," Naruto replied
Hiruzen, upon learning about the situation from Naruto, reached out to the fire Daimyo to encourage his Wind counterpart to divert the missions coming from him and the land of Wind's capital towards Suna in hopes of stabilizing the situation between Konoha and Suna.
Usually, a hidden village doesn't tell a client to go to another hidden village to have their missions completed. But in Hiruzen's eyes, it isn't worth it or worth the current headache. All the money they got from doing missions for the land of wind's capital until now won't even cover a quarter of the cost of mobilization to go to war with Suna. The income from these missions is so low that cutting it won't affect Konoha in any way.
Having the Wind Capital send their missions back to their own hidden village wouldn't only stabilize the situation but would also make Suna look incompetent if they messed up the missions that would come to them from their capital, especially if the Wind Capital decided to go to Konoha once more.
If that happened, Suna would have no one to blame but themselves. They have already messed up when their Capital and Daimyo have found it more convenient to go to Konoha to have their missions completed in the first place.
