Naruto took out the storage scroll he needed before opening it. Inside were several storage seals, each containing different medical equipment and supplies. His eyes read looked at them for a second before stopping at a seal that had 'Antidotes' written above it. As he unsealed the contents of the seal, a large bag appeared, which Naruto set on a table nearby. After putting the storage scroll on the table, he reached into the bag containing the antidotes and opened it, revealing many vials of different antidotes separated into different uniform compartments. After taking the vial he needed, he closed the bag before resealing it in the sealing scroll and putting the scroll back in his flak jacket pocket.
Reaching for a cabinet nearby, Naruto looked around before finding what he needed. A syringe that he filled with the antidote before turning towards Mifune.
"I will be administering the Antidote now, Mifune-dono. I will inject it into your neck." Naruto said
"Do what you need to do," Mifune said in agreement, stopping his doctors from interjecting.
To the doctors, trusting shinobi was questionable, but taking an injection of an unknown liquid into the neck by a shinobi could be considered madness. They only have Naruto's word that this will help their leader heal.
Hearing Mifune agree, Naruto disinfected the place where he would do the injection before inserting the needle directly into Mifune's neck.
Mifune felt the slight prick of the needle as it pierced his skin, which was nothing to him, but then he felt a bit of pain, and his fingers cramped slightly.
Naruto, sensing that he had reached his desired destination, pushed the syringe's plunger, pushing the Antidote into Mifune's body before taking out the needle and putting a piece of cotton in its place.
Naruto pressed the piece of cotton against Mifune's neck as he disposed of the used needle.
"Why did I feel pain after the needle entered my body? I have taken injections before, but didn't feel pain." Mifune asked, assuming that the pain was a side effect of the Antidote.
"This was an arterial injection. Most of the time, injections are given in the veins, which causes very little to no pain at all. Arterial injections, on the other hand, cause more pain and are used to administer something like an Antidote as the blood is already on its way to the organs and tissues. It is only used on highly trained individuals, like Shinobi and Samurai, as the side effects on them would be mild. If it were used on an ordinary civilian, they would feel a lot of pain and full-body cramps; it can also be deadly in some cases." Naruto explained, to which the doctors nearby nodded in agreement.
"It has already taken effect," Naruto said as the purple spots on Mifune's head were receding at a visible rate.
"That is true." One of the doctors said as they hurried to observe the aftereffects.
Naruto took the piece of cotton away from Mifune's neck. It held a tiny amount of bright red oxygenated blood with no more coming out of Mifune's neck.
"I am very thankful to you, young man," Mifune said with gratitude. He can already feel more relieved than he has felt in years.
"Don't mention it, Mifune-dono. Even though everything should be alright now, I will give you a quick check-up later before I leave the land of Iron." Naruto said
"You have my gratitude, young man," Mifune said as he told his doctor to rewrap his head with bandages. They grew on him because of how long he had worn them, and to also hide the scar on his head.
"It is good to see you back to good health, Mifune-dono," Hiruzen said as Mifune stood up.
"I appreciate your and your Shinobi's help, Hokage-dono. For that, I am extremely grateful and in your debt." Mifune said with gratitude.
"No need for that. We are old friends after all." Hiruzen replied with a slight smile.
"Since Raikage-dono has yet to arrive, I invite you and your escort for a meal. After that, we can watch my Samurai, along with students and apprentices, have their evening training session." Mifune said
"Thanks for the invitation, Mifune-dono. We gladly accept it." Hiruzen replied with a polite smile before he, along with Shikaku and Naruto, followed Mifune out of the medical wing.
An hour later, in the indoor dojo;
"All of you have already been trained on the ways of the Samurai and how to handle a Katana using wooden ones. Today, you all will be wielding a real Katana. I will be testing your technique and way of handling a Katana. Some of you have already reached this step and passed it, so today I will test how far along you have reached." An instructor 'sensei' said to a large group of children, whose ages range from nine to twelve.
"Hai." The children replied in unison, trying to sound emotionless, but one could feel the excitement from them. They watched as other instructors brought out Katanas along with rolled Tatami mats and fresh green bamboo.
"Can any of you tell me why we are bringing out Tatami mats and Bamboo?" The instructor asked the children, making multiple of the older ones raise their hands, while only a few younger ones raised their hands.
A little distance from the gathered children and instructors, Mifune sat with Hiruzen, who had Shikaku and Naruto sitting behind him. They had already finished their meal and had come to the dojo to see the Samurai and the young ones while they were training. Their attention shifts inside the large indoor dojo between where the young ones are training, and to the other side, where fully fledge Samurai are practicing and refining their techniques.
"Do you know the reason, Naruto-san?" Mifune said, upon hearing the instructor's question, who was still looking among the children to choose one to answer.
Mifune knows that there are not many Shinobi trained in the way of the sword, especially in the samurai's way, only a few samurai-turned-Ninja families that still use these methods, like the nearly extinct Hatake clan.
"Yes. Tatami mats are used to either test a Katana's cutting edge or test a samurai's strike angle and cutting technique, and power. While fresh green bamboo is used to simulate cutting through human bones." Naruto replied with an even tone, making Mifune nod slowly approvingly.
The Shinobi basic training method is different from the Samurai ones, while both can use training dummies, Samurai use them to practice their way of striking and slashing their enemies, while Shinobi are trained to aim at the body's lethal points using Kunai, shuriken, jutsu, and anything they may use on the battlefield.
