Around the same time, in Kumo's base;
BANG
A's Fist smashed a table in the middle of the main tent, making the Kumo jonin around him slightly flinch.
"How in the hell did that go past us?" A said with a seething tone.
Not only did they not know Naruto's identity as a Jinchuuriki, but they also got wrong intel from their spies in Konoha that the new Kyuubi Jinchuuriki is around 4 years old. Lo and behold, they met the Jinchuuriki for the first time in a standoff on the battlefield. Not only that, the jinchuuriki was a jonin with his own impressive powers. What is even worse is what Bee said.
The hatchibi had told him that it couldn't sense the Kyuubi's presence at all in the boy until he unleashed its chakra. That means either the seal holding the Kyuubi was that tight and restrictive, which was very unlikely, as the chakra flowed out of the boy so smoothly, or the more frightening theory that Naruto is a perfect Jinchuuriki or near that level, making him able to completely control and hide the Kyuubi's chakra.
What is rubbing salt in the wound is that the boy had come to Kumo about three years ago, participated in the Chunin exams, won them, and left without them knowing about his status as a Jinchuuriki.
"Get some new competent spies to be stationed in Konoha and dispose of the old ones. I want to know more about that boy" A said angrily.
"Also, update that brat's entry in the bingo book. He is too dangerous to be left to grow." A said
"A-sama," Isamu called.
"What?" A slightly snapped at him, which didn't affect Isamu as he was already adapted to A's personality
"Shouldn't we wait for the negotiations to finish before updating the Kyuubi's jinchuuriki's entry in the bingo book. If we do it right now, it may cause complications during negotiations." Isamu said with a blank tone, making A huff.
"Fine, postpone it until the negotiations are done." A said with a sigh.
About four days later, in Konoha's base;
In the main tent in the middle of the base, Hiruzen sat in a chair overlooking his jonin who stood in front of him.
"The negotiation will be held in the land of Iron," Hiruzen said
"Requests from the fire Daimyo and the lightning Daimyo were issued to lord Mifune to host the negotiations, which were approved as long as each Kage comes accompanied by only two personal escorts and with the promise not to start any battles or fights as long as we are in the land of iron," Hiruzen said
"I have decided that the ones who will be escorting me will be Shikaku and Naruto," Hiruzen said, making a wave of muttering start between the Jonin.
Most of them thought that Hiruzen would take his two older students, Tsunade and Jiraiya, or at least one. But soon they concluded that the two Hiruzen picked would be the best choice, as Shikaku's sharp and strategic mind would help through negotiation, and Naruto's presence would equilibrate the presence of Killer Bee, as the Raikage is known to have his brother by his side whenever he leaves the land of lightning.
"I want you two to get ready as we are leaving as soon as possible," Hiruzen said, looking at Shikaku and Naruto, who nodded before disappearing in a body flicker.
"As for the rest of you, keep your vigilance up for Kumo's movements until you hear a word back from me," Hiruzen ordered as he stood up and headed for the tent's exit.
"Hai, Hokage-sama," The Shinobi replied as Hiruzen left the tent.
Hours later, in the land of Iron;
Hiruzen and his company slowed down their travel speed as the main gate to the Capital of the land of iron loomed ahead. The landscape is icy, with snow covering everything, along with three mountains that looked like huge mouths with fangs, called the Three Wolves mountains, which loomed in the distance and could be seen even before entering the land of iron.
As they approached the gate, Shikaku held his hands up to his mouth and breathed out into them to warm them up. He, along with Hiruzen, had some extra layers of clothing on their usual attire, along with scarves and gloves, while Naruto only wore his regular jonin attire, his Katana on his back, with only a red scarf around his neck that he got on his eighth birthday from Kushina.
"How aren't you cold, Naruto?" Shikaku asked as he looked at Naruto's attire. His breathing is very visible with the blooms of white smoke of the moist air that appear every time he breathes or speaks.
When they were traveling with high Jonin speeds, the cold didn't affect him as much due to the physical effort, but now, as they slowed down considerably, he felt the cold's full force.
"The cold doesn't bother me that much," Naruto replied with a mysterious and mischievous smirk.
"Fine, keep your secrets to yourself. Troublesome red-head." Shikaku said while muttering the last part, which was heard making Hiruzen chuckle while Naruto huffed.
"Welcome, Hokage-dono and his company." Greeted a guard at the gate, with the other guards bowing slightly as the group reached it. There was no identification required, as each Kage is well known to the other Nations, along with the Kanji of their respective lands on their hats.
"Mifune-sama was expecting your arrival, so if you please follow me, I will lead you to him." The guard said, as he started to walk into the capital, was followed by Hiruzen and his companions.
As the group walked through the capital, they observed their surroundings, including the buildings, atmosphere, people, and the Samurai who filled the streets. They also attracted attention as it isn't common for the capital to have visitors of such status.
Soon, they reached a huge building surrounded by tall, sturdy walls that were well-lit from the outside, with a lot of Samurai standing guard at its entrance, which was open and showed a large yard that led to the building that had its entrance closed shut with some guards standing at post. Walking through the yard on the pathway leading to the building, they could see a lot of Samurai all around the yard, with a lot of them standing around multiple bonfires for warmth.
As they were escorted into the building, the door was shut immediately again as soon as they entered, and they immediately knew why. The building is warm on the inside, which means that it is well-heated and isolated from the freezing cold outside.
