"Listen, I told you, that was definitely not a missile produced by Stark Industries. Our company has never made any missile that—"
"Okay, shut up." Shin rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Honestly, it's most likely made by your company. When Obadiah was in charge of Stark Industries, weapons, and tech were being dumped on the black market like candy."
"I'm telling you, everything Stark Industries produced was top quality! We made high-tech gear, not junk like what Hammer Industries—" Tony Stark started to argue, but Shin cut him off, pointing at Wanda.
"Do you even know what Wanda's mutant ability is?"
"Energy projection? That red energy of hers is definitely powerful," Tony said, a bit uncertain.
"Sure, you could call that her mutant ability. But Wanda's most terrifying power her chaos magic can rewrite reality itself."
"As long as she wished for that missile to be a dud, then it became a dud. If, at that moment, she'd wished that every missile made by Stark Industries was a dud, then every single one would have failed," Shin said with a cold smile.
In Shin's opinion, the missile's failure to explode had nothing to do with Stark Industries' manufacturing quality. It was far more likely that the Scarlet Witch had unconsciously activated her reality-warping ability in a moment of extreme emotion.
"Uh... that's a seriously dangerous power. Good thing I'm out of the weapons game now," Tony muttered, wiping sweat from his forehead.
If Stark Industries were still in arms manufacturing, and Wanda did target them, the company would go bankrupt overnight. The product liability alone would destroy them, not to mention the complete collapse of public trust.
The way Iron Man looked at Wanda changed instantly. Reality manipulation in an instant? That was far more terrifying than being a walking nuclear weapon.
"Okay, so now everything's cleared up." Shin folded his arms. "Wanda, Pietro, what do you plan to do now? Kill Tony Stark?"
"Hey, don't say something that dreadful so casually!" Tony said quickly. "I'm not even an arms dealer anymore!"
Pietro and Wanda glanced at each other, their faces showing hesitation.
These two weren't villains, as evidenced by the fact they would become superheroes in the future. Deep down, they also knew that their grudge against Tony Stark was shaky. And besides, Iron Man already looked like he was going through enough.
But if they weren't going to take revenge on Tony Stark… then what could they do?
"Look, people your age should be in school or working... Actually, forget the job thing. I don't think that's going to suit you either," Tony trailed off, unsure.
"Working isn't a bad idea. I think Pietro could do food delivery and Wanda? Maybe stock trading," Shin said, grinning.
'Wait... why did she get stock trading and I got food delivery?' Pietro narrowed his eyes at Shin.
"Letting someone who can manipulate probability and reality into the stock market? Are you insane?" Tony muttered.
With Scarlet Witch's power, she could basically rob the entire financial system without lifting a finger.
Wanda and Pietro may have powerful abilities, but they weren't well-trained, hadn't received proper education, and held themselves to a high moral standard. In other words, if you turned their pockets inside out, they'd be emptier than their stomachs flat broke.
That's why when Shin jokingly suggested stock trading, Wanda's eyes lit up. It was actually a pretty clever idea.
After all, superheroes don't live off air. And technically, these two weren't superheroes yet. If they could make a living legitimately, why not?
After chatting for a bit, the tension between Wanda, Pietro, and Tony Stark gradually began to ease.
Then Tony's curiosity got the better of him again. "By the way, are you really going to look for Thor? The Thor from Asgard? The Norse God of Thunder?"
"Was that hammer earlier really the Mjolnir? Does that mean the entire Norse pantheon actually exists?"
"How did they get here? Where do they live? What kind of powers do they have?"
"And why are Thor and his hammer separated? From what you said, it sounds like he lost his divine powers?"
"I picked up crazy high-energy readings from that hammer. Off the charts. It's nearly equivalent to the core of a star!"
"And it's much denser than it looks. That thing weighs more than some white dwarfs. Theoretically, if it hit the ground at full force, it should've punched straight through the Earth's crust."
"But I also detected a powerful anti-gravity field coming from within the hammer. It's like a magnetic bubble that keeps it suspended instead of letting it sink into the Earth."
"Honestly, if that hammer had dropped like a meteor, with that mass and velocity, it could've split the continent in two! Maybe even punctured the Earth's mantle. It could wipe out 99% of humanity!"
"When I ran the numbers, I nearly had a heart attack. Are all gods this dangerous?"
"Okay, please shut up," Shin said, visibly pained, and glanced at Wanda.
Wanda blinked at him with wide, innocent eyes, not understanding what he wanted.
Left with no choice, Shin finally said, "Can you make this guy stop talking?"
Wanda nodded. A red glow flashed in her eyes and instantly, Tony Stark went completely silent.
Shin turned to look at him and nearly burst out laughing. Tony's entire mouth had vanished, replaced by smooth skin. He was still humming in protest through sealed lips.
"I just wanted you to make him mute, not erase his entire mouth," Shin said, amused.
Wanda tilted her head and replied, "Sorry. Chaos magic isn't easy to control."
