Wilder finished his meal, unsure whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, as there was no distinction between day and night in this red realm.
Ahab helped him onto the wheelchair, and Shaina left with the tray. Ahab then pushed Wilder into the elevator, arriving at the hall.
The robe Wilder wore was made of silk, smooth to the touch and very luxurious. As Ahab wheeled him out of the elevator, they saw many people wearing coarse burlap clothes, engaged in quiet conversation.
These people had metallic heads, both men and women, holding various books, discussing art, philosophy, technology, and history.
When they noticed Ahab, they paused their conversation and bowed to her.
"Don't let me interrupt you." Ahab said with a smile.
The people nodded in response and continued their conversation.
Wilder recognized these people, resembling the iron army that appeared long ago on the Blackside Plains.
