Chapter 20 - My dreams always come true

Wade quickly sat up. His chest was heaving up and down and he quickly looked around.

Rylan was quite shocked, Wade just woke up suddenly.

"Are you okay?" Rylan asked and handed him a glass of water. Wade was quite thirsty so he took it.

"Where am I?" Wade put the glass down. He looked around, he wasn't familiar with the place.

"My house," Rylan answered. Wade looked at him with a questioning gaze. "My aunt's not home," Rylan added.

"Thanks for your help but I have to leave. My brother..."

"Your brother is probably in a comfortable place eating to his fill while you're here stressed out. Not to mention you haven't eaten anything."

"How long have I been out?"

"Twenty hours."

"What?" Wade was visibly shocked. "Can I borrow your phone?"

Rylan gave him his phone.

Wade called his most trusted guard. "It's me, Wade."

"Sir,"

"Did you find him?"

"I'm sorry sir, we haven't."

Wade didn't bother talking more and directly hang up. His throat let out a frustrated growl releasing his aura in the process.

Rylan, who was watching him, flinched and fell onto his knees. The truth is he didn't actually feel anything but Wade released a powerful aura without thinking and it would be suspicious not to react.

Wade was shocked and retracted his aura.

"I'm sorry Rylan," he helped the other stand up. "I'm just frustrated. This is why I should leave."

"But..." Rylan stood and took in a deep breath to calm himself after the shock. "You haven't eaten for days. Your wolf will get angry. If that happens then forget about your brother, who will save you?"

Wade pursed his lips and agreed to eat first.

"Why are you so worked up anyway?" Rylan asked when Wade agreed to sit and eat. He served him.

"He's my brother." Wade looked at the food, sighed and took a bite.

"Yes but for him to run away and hide from you, don't you think he won't like it if you find him?"

"He could be in danger."

"I'm sure if you can't find him then your enemies can't either." Rylan sat opposite him. The round table was small.

"I really can't find him. How is this even possible?"

"Don't underestimate omegas," Rylan smiled. Wade looked at him, feeling that it had to be the first time he saw Rylan smile.

Who would have known seeing someone smile would be so...so...magical.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Rylan asked.

"You smiled."

"Huh? Is that a big deal?"

"Yes," Wade nodded, "You look so beautiful. You should smile more."

"Stop talking nonsense." Rylan didn't want to admit it but his heart was moved. Argh, how could such a basic comment affect him?

"Rylan..." Wade called, "I'm serious." He stared right into Rylan's eyes and it was at that moment that the innocence in Rylan's eyes faltered. The latter quickly looked away, his breath unstable.

"Why are you speaking so much nonsense today?" Rylan closed his eyes for a while, letting the innocence slip back in.

Wade was smiling like a fool. He put the spoon in his mouth seemingly in a very good mood.

"I'm happy," he spoke putting the spoon down, "Today I discovered something wonderful."

Rylan didn't speak, he felt he didn't want to know what he discovered.

Wade suddenly stood and leaned closer to Rylan, making their eyes meet again. "If I work hard I might be able to see you without your innocent mask."

Rylan looked right back at him. This time the innocence was as strong as ever. "Keep dreaming."

Wade got closer, brushing his lips closer to the other. His movement was quick and sudden. By the time Rylan realized Wade was already back to his seat. Again, the innocence faltered and this time it was even weaker, as if Wade was trying to strip him naked and he was doing it piece by piece.

"I will. My dreams always come true."

.....

Julian was annoyed. He had managed to run away from one of the strongest pack and keep them searching yet he couldn't keep a certain person away.

Rael was persistent, he followed Julian everywhere.

"What is wrong with you?" Julian finally confronted him when Rael followed him to a hotel room. "Are you so free that you can follow me everywhere?"

Actually, the reason no one could find Julian was because he was really far. He was more than three cities away. But Rael had followed him there. Though he didn't tell anyone where he was it was still pretty annoying.

"I am." Rael nodded shamelessly.

"What do you want?" Julian glared at him. "Do you want another beating?"

"No," Rael frowned slightly when he remembered how Julian had hit him before.

"Then what is it?!" Julian was getting impatient. "If you're doing this for my brother then you should at least call him."

"I'm not doing it for Wade. I just want to follow you."

"Really?" Julian suddenly smiled. He walked closer to him, making him instinctively take a step back. But they were in a corridor so Julian's back hit the wall. "Are you sure you're not interested in me?"

"What?" Rael narrowed his eyes. He pushed Julian away, "I'm not interested in romance."

"Who said anything about romance? I mean, you an alpha and me an omega in a hotel. What else could we do?" Julian got closer again.

"You're my best friend's brother," Rael pushed him again.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Julian held his wrist and pulled him inside his hotel room and pinned him to the door. "Come on, you've been following me for so long. Stalking is a big offense, especially if it's an alpha stalking an omega." Julian was getting closer to him with each word. "I am a prince, even if I'm not favoured I could make your life hell because of this."

"Are you going to do it?" Rael whispered due to their closeness.

"No, I'm just saying." Julian spoke, "Can I kiss you?" Rael didn't answer, he didn't know what to say. And besides, Julian's face was too close. Maybe it because he was so close to an omega, he felt really hot. It was no surprise that he found himself nodding.

Julian smiled. Then, slowly, he claimed his lips.
