Memphis stood behind Emperor Zain with her hands behind her back and her chin raised slightly.
Her golden eyes stared down at Emperor Zain, filled with expectations for the best and the worst.
"You know I have generals right?" Emperor Zain said.
Memphis nodded, "Generals strategize for the battle, we strategize for the war. Your generals cannot see the big picture the way you and I do.
They mostly do their things for the sake of honor, survival, or resources. Our cause is not far off, but it's much grander.
Do you understand how I have described it, Emperor Zain?" Memphis asked.
Emperor Zain pressed his lips together.
"You said something about the Primordial League," Emperor Zain purposely ignored the question. He was an immortal for heaven's sake, even if he couldn't admit that Kael's simple strategy was actually reasonable, he wasn't going to openly show willingness to test it out.
